There's many that can be considered favourites for different reasons

Kevin Energy - Scratching, Drum Scratching, Cutting, Filtering, People have mentioned tempo building, and key blending, many a skill to show off, equally recognised in Hard house and Hardcore

Dodgee- Scratching, Beat juggling

Robbie Long- Perfect mixing alongside scratch abilities

Sy/Unknown - Scratching obviously but ever noticed how can also leave mixing out of track till the last minute? (To accomodate 3 minute long scratch routines) Many a Bedroom DJ panics when the record's running out because there is very little time to get the beats in synch!
Far better when not alongside a vocal scratch MC, because then he doesn't slow his turntablism down then so they can keep up!
Apparently self educated as far as turntablism goes, no specified techniques as such but his own which on his scratch tutorial, he struggles to explain it all although he's been doing it continously for years! Simply a good relationship between hand and vinyl?
Unsure of Unknowns skills in comparison to Sy, but I know his scratching is more or less equal to that of Sy.

Sharkey - Blends perfectly for ages - The cleanest mixer in hardcore I think, better than Brisk for it even. And plays several hardcore styles. Even plays non-hardcore styles occasionally. When Bonkers 1 was first launched I hear that he hadn't been mixing that long that set was good, but I think over nearly 10 years he's improved so much that it doesn't even compare to his sets now. I noticed on Bonkers 13, he's a bit more adventurous though, I think I remember a slight bit of upfader action and even a spinback from what I've noticed to have been a DJ who blends far more than he cuts, not to mention some harder techno-ish tracks. Multi talented I suppose.

Hixxy (USED TO BE) - Scratching, using 3 decks, dropping in old pop track accapellas pitched up, and stuff like that, why doesn't he bother now? But many people love him, (And he plays for the crowd) but there's nothing in his style that I consider too special now.

Brisk/Ham - Mix Clean and Mix everything from breaks to gabba

I hear Gammer is quite good, but I've never heard him DJ yet, but I enjoyed one of the AMS sets on the NuEnergy site too.

it's actually hard to explain scratching without sounding somewhat dumb =P I mean for most scratches, all you are doing is moving a record with one and the fader with the other.

if you've been doing it for awhile you don't even think about it, you just know what sort of pattern you want to run and do it.

Scott Brown - An all round hardcore legend, apart from any gabba cause i personally cant stand it)
Dougle (only goin off his bonkers 13 cd!)
Hixxy - He knows his choons!! As has already been said, he is a crowd pleaser!
Re-Con - Some excellent choons, quite a lot of there remix's have spoiled some of my favourite songs thou! (Same as there previous label aswell!!)

There are a lot of other quality DJ's out there, but these are my top 4 that come to mind.

Anyone got any comments?
