I remember buying it on vinyl back in 94 with Kelly Lorenna singing the vocals!

Demo - Your Mine, probably the Slipmatt remix as it's the most played and simply rocks.

I don't think Mortis meant any offense by that, we're just all getting sick of these Set You Free Topics, and the bloody remixes themselves!

well the vocals making the song is just my opinion. if you have crappy ass vocals but a sweet syth sound or wahtever...doubt its going to make your favorite tracks list.
But they do go hand in hand, but for instance..i dont like trance becasue there are no vocals which equals boring.
therefore, if happy hardcore didnt have vocals..i wouldnt like it so much.
and there are only a few good non-vocal hardcore tracks (lost generation, skydivin', etc..) but beyond that, without vocals you really have nothing.

umm there are a lot more than that =P

I don't care for vocals because I grew up playing an instrument not listening to the choir =P
however I do enjoy listening to monks chanting...

Fair enough, thats you opinion... But i wouldn't class hardcore as the right music if all you want is vocals... but you still can't excuse the fact that the music IS everything in this scene! without it the vocals are nothing!

Take a look at stuff like...
Right here - Recon!

For me, the vocals are mint! loved it! - but then, the bulid kicks in!

I JUMPED OUT MY SEAT!!! what the f*ck was going on... Its all good when the lead kicks in... but for those 16 odd steps... my gawwd! AWFUL IMO!!!
(however since then the track has grown on me and i can put up with it!)

It doesn't happen all the time but for the odd tracks it really does let itself down, including the set its in... there was another track that did it, angel one or something, can't be arsed to look the track up lol... but its just a real disopointment for the vocals, you know...

if you want vocals mate you may aswell listen to pop music or something...

listen to stuff like...
Steps ahead - dowster & uprising
Unreleased - Stargazer!

^^^^ The music does its own singing mate Honestly Smaching Stuff!
