I've produced a few hardcore tracks but the only thing letting them down is the very tame & weak beat that i'm putting over them. Have really struggled to find the technique for creating some banging hardcore beats. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

I've tryed compression but the original beats that i'm using are useless to start with so compression doesn't really help! I'm using Reason so the only Beats I have are original drum machine beats that are very dated. Can anyone send me some beats from there own packages that might be better that Reason beats?

When you say 'beats' are you talking about kicks?
Im not familiar with Reason but I use Cubase and I layer my kicks with more then one. Find one that has Low end and then one with a bit more top end and if still not happy with it I layer it with one that has mid range.
Then to give it even more I EQ with more low end...
Hope this helps!!!

You'll need to use an EQ in reason to boost/cut the frequencies of the kick(s) your using. I cant remember too much about reason but my advice would be to load a kick into a sampler (not a redrum) and wire it to an EQ, then to your mixer. Do this for several kicks, and use them all, adjusting the the EQ for each kick seperately until you have something close to what your looking for.
Download the sample pack I posted and use the kicks in there, the ones that come with reason are sh*t for hardcore

layer your kick, as in, use more than one.
use differnet kicks one high end, one low, helps to layer a snappy clap too
