Ok so your new to Happyhardcore.com, Want to get into making those amazing tunes you keep hearing??
Well this is the post for you.
In here i will explain the In's and Out's of Music Production, Software and Hardware.
Ok so we will start with the basics.
HARDWARE
First thing you will need is a good computer, You will need over 500MB of RAM to run most music programs and a good processor would be A advantage too, Secondly A good sound card you can pick up good sound cards these days for around 100.00 GBP = 198 USD = 125 EUR Make sure and get one that had inputs for recording. Also a Midi keyboard would be advisable it makes life so much easier.
On now you have that out the way we move onto
SOFTWARE
There is a lot of music production software out there, But to be fair there should only be 4 choices you need to make.
1. Cubase - The Pro's choice.
2. Reason - Good for beginners and also works with Cubase
3. Logic Pro - MAC only so no good for the PC producer
4. Fruityloops - Simple to use, But not as professional as the rest
Ok so here goes with the software spec.

im actually a reason 4.0 user. cant work cubase yet I do have SX3 but i really like reason 4.0 I think its just because I learnd how to use reason rather quickly so i would probably stick with it until I can get some tuition on cubase.

the sequencer/daw is just the first step into production, soon as you have one, someone will tell you that you need vst's/vsti's
( virtual studio technology), software synthesizers in other words,
loads of very good ones out there.

use Google bud. Im sure u will find a copy at a good price somewhere. Just make sure your computer is up to spec before spending money on software,
Its a real pain in the arse having the software but the computer lags when using it. Make sure u have lots of RAM and a good soundcard :)

although people say fruity loops is not as professional as the others
it works wonders for me!
and i dont intend to change at all!!! :)

The newest versions are just as professional tbh. Infact, it has a better sound engine than Reason. :)
