Friends?????...hmm I have a bunch of people who love to hate me...does that count? 
Most of my friends are in the rave scene, few are actually into hardcore, but they do value what it's done for the vibe at parties and what not...

Argh! Yes I am the only one! Most of my friends are jungleheads and they make fun of my propensity for cheesy hardcore... but then again they also made fun of me when I was a trance loving candy raver back in the days...
By the way, it seems the hardcore scene is practically non-existent in the Bay Area anyway... mostly house here! (and you know why...)

all of my friends are junglists!! thats why at raves im always on me todd in the hardcore room while they are all in the dnb room!

I have sum fwends (maybe around 10 ppl) that are really into harcore and stuff but most of my fwends are into the R&B music when parties are on and stuff and they dont go to raves either. Sum of the fwends that are into hardcore and that sort of music now, I introduced them to it......I think u cant explain the hardcore and otha rave music to ppl u have 2 stick them in a room and let them listen to it then they will b like "I luv this music" and start listenin 2 it.......thatz how they see the light! lol

I'd have to say mine is about 50-50. About half of my friends are loyal ravers, while the other half really have nothing to do with the rave scene. It's strange, though ... Amongst my friends who rave, there's a huge diversity in terms of favourite sub-genres. For instance, my boyfriend is a hard trance devotee, and has to be pretty much dragged to hardcore. Some of the crew are only interested in gabba, some only in DnB, and then some (like me, heh) who let the night decide what music feels right (but just keep coming back to hardcore!)

well wheni just got into happy hard...which was around year 6, i had a friend who was in it too...but don't see him no more
my friends now go to raves but they go only for trance music and stuff which is still cool....but i'm trying to convert them lol....they do like Breeze and styles - your shining though heh
but yeah....recently met some liquid dancers who are into gabber and go to raves a lot which is cool

I go to most of the raves with my best mates and my girlfriend!! and i got 2 of my mates into the hardcore scene because they both were into stuff like korn and slipknot but i converted them into happy heads!! and i've met loads of ravers off the internet at raves and now they've become very good friends!!
can't beat the rave scene for making friends!! I'm from wales in the uk and i got mates from england and we always meet up when we go raving!!

No, I like a lot of other styles of music and the extremenise of metal music is much like the exteme speed/noise of hardcore more gabber though, so it's easily understandable why you often get fans of both genres, like me...but then I like ALL music  .
