ok i am totally baffled!

Why are we not allowed to talk about swappin mp3's coz they dont put anything back into the scene....then why have you got WHITELABELS in your shop?????? these are worse than mp3 the money goes back into the pockets of the people that got them illegally pressed so they can press more.

So you're saying that all white labels are illegally pressed?

Plenty of tunes get released on white label before they're officially available and they're 100% legit.

Yes, there are the odd few dodgy whites out there but they're rare anyway so i don't think you can compare them with mp3's at all.

EVERY white label i own is either a special edition or a pre-release copy from the label it came out on - I do not own a single Hardcore mp3 and i never will.

Even dodgy white labels are supporting the scene in their own way - mp3's just rip it off with no recognition for anybody.

I think your argument could have done with a few more facts rather than just a sweeping statement like that.

i think he is referring to whites, like that visa bootleg(that the shop carries, i believe) , that just repress a tune that isnt theirs

Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage...

theres visa whitelabel and toytown...they bring down the value of the true originals. Whats the point in tracking down a rare vinyl if its only gunna be booty'd

I'm all for promo's and the likes but whites :(

Like djDMS says 99% of whitelabels are legit, promo's, test press' or cheap releases.

As you make notice we do not sell tapepacks in our store because they dont give any money to the artists. Yes bootlegs are evil... But I had to draw the line somewhere, If I wanted to take it to the extream, should I not sell hardcore tunes that have unlicenced samples in them or are remixes / rips as well? If this was the case I would lose a good chunk of stuff to sell, not to mention the fact I would have to screen every release that comes out. If I dont have the same type of stock as other stores why run a store... We only sell one hardcore bootleg anyway... The ToyTown white label is legit.

I hope you can see my stance on the matter.

No the artists or labels dont earn anything from a tapepack. The only people that profit from a tape pack is the event company that puts them out... it's all dodgy.
