ok, so now napster is back

now you must pay 99 cents a track or 10 dollars a month for unlimited song downloads,

first off, im NOT encoureging people to do this, i repeat im NOT. i just want some of your guys opinions on this "new" napster? as for me, whatever, i stoped downloading a long time ago, im trying to be a DJ and make tracks so now i just buy the vinyl,.......... so,......................... whatever

(now thinking of new translation)

Does that not mean all the artists that have songs on it will get money ,if so how can they do that because their must be a hell lot of artists, or is it just the pop,rock,dance artists...

well each artist doesnt' sign, but from my understanding, there are companies/groups similar to RIAA who "represent" the groups and take fees for a dj/homeuser/radio what have you to use the material, then redistribute it amongst the artist based one some set conditions, this is just another way of collecting that money

Instaed of paying $10 for an album on mp3, why don't i just take that $10 and buy the cd?

because for people in the USA C.D's like Bonkers or Hardcore Heaven cost from about 30 to 40 dollars IF!!!! you can find them just liying around at a C.D store, most of the time you have to get them import off the internet (or at least, thats how i've been getting them) but then again, i could just pay the 10 dollars find a track, and if i like it i'll go look for the vinyl

but thats only my opinion

well even though im sure you could download many more songs for $10 unlimited downloading then you oculd spending $10 on a cd

i still say official is better. buy the cd get the money to the artist quicker :)

i usually download music but if i like it i will buy it legit and if i dont i will stop listening to it anyway. .. problem solved
