I'm back after 2.5 months working on this one. I learned some new mastering techniques, still using the same authentic plugins and sample packs from the 90's to early 2000s. Let me know if it sounds better. I'm really proud of this one and out of all my stuff I think it would be easiest to mix into all the other happy hardcore out there. Also had fun drawing the new character and logos on the album cover in inkscape.

The levels are definitely better balanced on this one. The kick is much clearer than before, but this one could still do with a little less sub and a little more punch. I liked the vox samples.

Thank U.
Lots of "secret formula" went into that kick, glad u noticed.
Got lucky with the vox at the last minute hunting around on the old vocal packs.
What type of speakers or headphones are you listening with? I have decent studio cans now (only one driver) but my 2 blutooth "common man" buds (cheap and nice ones) were blowing up the bass with their processing i read about, I think I learned how to shape it out so that doesn't happen (first time haha) but I'll keep at it.
what did you mean by "punchiness" boost low, mid, hi? the pumping effect?

heard your track on heeadphones. Beyerdynamic DT 990's.
by punchiness I mean more 909'ish than 808'ish.
any boost from 50 to 90Hz I find "boomy". You want the most energy a bit higher than that. It all comes down to the kick sample, I'd say, more than the fx on it.
whenever I start a track I use a kick to get inspired but it doesn't always stay all the way into the final product. other productions choices may affect the feel of it so I suggest not getting attached to the first choice you make and to feel free to switch if the track calls for it.

OK those are way more accurate than my headphones, I used a combo of 808 and 909 stuff, sometimes layered (probably breaking some "rules", I was reading about how HHC producers back in the day would keep resampling stuff over and over to make it crunchy, so I was experimenting with thinking outside of the box. I did the kick later on but that was my foundation in old songs, I had a fan tell me the kick was too loud in a song once so I think I subconsciously lowered it after that so it wouldn't bother her.
I hear u with changing the kick over and over depending on how a track evolves, something about the characteristics like tone and boominess all those things need to meld right, every time I made a big change, with instruments or feel of the song, I adjusted kick settings all over again. Its fun.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
