Although I'm able to mix all the rest mix the rest of my hardcore records together fine, for some stupid reason when I play Dair & Devastate - Music Power I can never match the beats in time correctly with the record that is already playing no matter how hard I try. Is there a dodgy silent beat at the end of the bars or something? I hear that someone had a similar problem with Robbie Long & Devastate - 50,000 watts of Hardcore power, as well.
Has anyone else got certain records that just seem unmixable?

Sometimes the kick drum in hardcore tracks are different enough so that when your mixing it actually does not sound too good even though they are the same BPM, not sure about music power.
Also tracks like Breaka from UFO where the beat is a little weird on the start of the track (makes you sound like your doing a bad mix if it's not spot on).

I mix a different style to hardcore but ive still got my old hardcore tunes.....some of the tunes use the same kick so when you try and mix them even if you have them perfectly matched it makes like a pop noise because the 2 tunes are cancelling each other out if you get me. all the music is based on the same princible 4/4 so you should be able to mix it...keep trying

insted ov mixin beats 2geva y not mix a beat in 2 a part ov a tune where there isnt any drums just singin or sumfin, or the ova way round.

usually if i have trouble wixing a track or beat matching it i will line it up with time, and then just cut to a vocal or breaksy type thing..or sometimes ****ing around ill just match some dnb..to add just some more and then slowly fade it

The only track I remember having problems mixing with was "The Piano Track" on Raindance. Someone said it was because of Storm's use of mid-bass frequencies but it's been a while since I've spun that track. I don't really blame songs for my inability to mix them well unless it's one of those tracks that changes tempo slightly (damn you "555")! I tend to mix with percussion and highs instead of bass and I find that it helps a lot in making perfectly slick mixes because the bass can sometimes be so fat it sounds in phase when it really isn't
