Hey all,
I'm planning on getting a tattoo sometime soon, and I wanted it to represent hardcore or music. I've been brainstorming this for a little while b/c I want it to be something original, not just a record labels logo. So anyone have any ideas????

i don't do tattoos myself, but i can offer some ideas:
- bpm speed limit sign
- smilie in studio headphones >[ -.- ]<
- smilie on turn table (like the dj is spinning a record which is a smilie)
- teardrop w/ smilie inside just below either of your eyes
if you like the japanese thing
- ハピコア (happy hardcore)
- 愉 (old char for happiness)
- 夢中 (in a trance, in a dream)
- 踊(り)狂(う) (dance in ecstasy)
- 聞(き)惚(れる) (listen in a daze)

Gather Round Children for a story.....
My mate had put on 3 fairly large gigs here in brisbane...he was standing there oneday and a dood rocks up and goes " MAN I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD I FOUND U!!!!" he pulled up the leg of his pants and showed him a tatoo of lemming with dinamite straped to it off one of the rave posters he had done....(the lemming is simmular to my Avastar pic)
now as one can imigan my mate was more then a little taken back

Motto of story, if u dont mind looking like a bit of a knob for the rest of your life get a tattoo of a local promoters mascot and u might just get in for free

As for Japanese tattoo's - people should really know what they are putting on themself, I have seen people with the words dog as a tattooed on them. You have to remember things don't just translate english into Japanese, there is no meaning or words for such things as trance and ecstasy, so you have to pick a word that is close, this is what these really mean:
- ハピコア (happy hardcore)
That does not say Happy Hardcore it says Happycore - But that is what happy hardcore is sometimes called in Japan.
- 夢中 (in a trance, in a dream)
This means concenration on something, Focused on something you are absorpted in it.
- 踊(り)狂(う) (dance in ecstasy)
Deviating crazy / wild dance
- 聞(き)惚(れる) (listen in a daze)
This means Listen and fall in love

u should probably go with a twisted dj and a hhc quote or sumthing
i could draw something up and send it to u if u want (started doing tattoos july last year ) but i mostly do airbrushing .
your not hardcore, unless you live hardcore!
