right peeps now my heads calmed down heres what you all missed last night
first up was dj yky, who gave us 1/2 an hour of 95+ hardcore, dropping the likes of hop on the dance floor and now is the time. respect m8 quality tunes and mixing. Next up was dj overdrive who continued with the happy vibe, dropping in a few evolutions and finishing with ruff muff rmx wickeed tune. A few more people were starting to arrive, and the atmosphere was buzzing.
Next up was geoffers, the birthday boy, who played a full on heavy techno set, although luckily he played a 96/97 set, or we could have had a night of the same tunes.
Someone put a mad afro wig on him which just added to the alredy wickeed atmosphere. we got a bottle of champagne and partied in style.
i went on next (gee) and decided to play something a bit different, so i played a 98 freeform set, although it was more like techno, didn't realise how fast it was till i listened to it today. i can remember dropping my 1st tune and looking up and seeing the place erupt. it might not be the biggest of clubs, but the atmosphere last night could equal a lot of the bigger events, no trouble, just a load of hardcore ravers doing what they do best. i had an absolutely wickeed time spinning my set. everything just seemed to go sweet!
Brisk arrived just after 11, and after chatting to a few people he stepped up to do his thing. words cannot express how brilliant this man is. all i can say is he tore it up, he must have played 6 tunes within the 1st 5 mins. i can honestly say i don't think there is another dj out there on any scene that can mix as well as brisk ! i thought i was back at club kinetic, no bigger buzz. brisk u are a diamond m8, he even apologised to me for accidently knocking the deck, wicked bloke
Then to end the night we had dj sinister . he started things off nice and easy and then built us back up. i couldn't stand anymore due to rockin all night, but respect to all the ppl who carried on rockin till the end.
The club's management are absolute stars, they always get involved with the night, and genuinely enjoy the night. Even the doormen were walking around with uv paint on their faces
respect goes out to the 2 mc's Lt and bokka. they both did a wicked job of keeping the crowd going, and they both looked like they were enjoying themselves.
Big shout out to the uv crew, who were rockin all night, dave the rave, judder, smylee, all the leeds crew, barton crew, trev and the rhouse crew, all the dj's and mc's and every1 else.
shouts to kerry chicken, rowdyridden and dj hatty. it was gr8 to meet u all at last, hope u enjoyed it. also shout out to mc dazza, still don't know what u look like m8, but respect for coming.respect to the brid crew and every1 else who i've forgotten.
but i've got to say maximum respect to dj brisk , u rocked it m8
