ahem. . . umm well im not from the UK but this sounds pretty dire situation!
Just how far does this go exactly (ie is this banning ALL raves of more than 20 people?? and what about clubs, for that matter?)
ANybody wanna donate some cash to the "Turntables for Gav fund?" ~ If you don't, you could be to blame for the demise of happy hardcore!

everythign is meant to eliminate drug use. they could get rid of everything and i would still be down at the drug store buying 2 bottle of cough syrup for the weekend. drugs arent the problem with society. its the people who use drugs as an excuse who are the problem.
im gonna stop now before i end up turning this into a book.

i was just wondering if it will mean that every rave that is gonna happen is shutdown, or just the underground 1s,
and also, wouldn't clubs come under this law?
ANybody wanna donate some cash to the "Turntables for Gav fund?" ~ If you don't, you could be to blame for the demise of happy hardcore!

Also think probably only talkin about free parties cos they've started poppin up evrywhere again last coupla years n dont make government any money. Shame anyway cos free parties are a crackin way 4 local dj's 2 start there own nights + give evry1 a good party. Probably bound 2 happen at sometime they'll crack down on them.

well what a wastefull government we have, how much did they pay some1 that to come up with that crud.
Id now like to see them uphold there new law, why do they waste time makin laws they cant keep?
Does this apply for a dinner party of 21 people listenin 2 (amplified) classical music?

I think that because the goverment doesn't get money from it they want more controll.... and what they controll turns into what they like.

The new laws aren't much different to the old ones. It was the Criminal Justice Act which finished off the UK outdoor rave scene many moons ago.
You can still rave outdoors but you need to do it legally (land owners permission, council permission, paramedics etc...)

how did you get all those lyrics down from that site of yours? im well into happy hardcore lyrics and was just wondering if you got them coz you know them off the top off your head or got them from somewhere?

all of this anti rave shit sucks. louisiana's scene has been recovering from this for a few years now, and it will take sometime to recover. here in louisiana, it was almost to the point where they banned raves forever, but the kids in our scene pulled it together, we got petitions signed, lobbied and everything, and we got the law thrown out...heh we thought everything was going to be fine after that, but now they are trying to pass an anti rave law under a different guise, and they think we actually don't know about it, but we do, so we have to start the process all over again, and fight a war that we have already won all over again. so here we are in louisiana, rebuilding our scene, which may in fact be torn down all over again, all because some *******s at a party wanna over-do it and spaz out

for me in most cases I'm one of them ppl who only has to listen to a song once and I'll remember every word (sometimes a little distorted - but at least what I believe to be every word!!) so most of the time I just type em from memory.... the harder ones I listen to whilst typing.... and I also got my brady bunch team (he he he) who have been helping me by emailing/posting me lyrics here.... feel free to contribute!!! or just to ask for ones u want.
I'm a bit shitted up really I wanna get more traffic but I dno how.
Also can someone explain the criminal justice bill to me always been curious to what this one outlines.

looks like they're trying to give the police more power in shutting down any gatherings that dont have a license....... they havnt got much of a chance though cos most of the time they're well out of the way and attract many more people than can easily be gotten rid of/arrested etc. im not gonna be worrying too much about it  they'll still keep happening!
