I have known for quite a while that the popularity of hardcore was increasing rather rapidly, there has been
* the relaunch of the bonkers series
* the older bonkers cds going silver and gold,
* lots of other new cds being released, such as original hardcore
* tidy incorporating a hardcore room at their events,
* mixmag begging for forgiveness and treating hardcore like a serious style of music once again
* Hardcore vinyl releases on Raver Baby selling more than most (underground) trance releases! (according to some)
but here's another one, possibly the biggest record store in the U.K , Hard to Find records their website store now has a Happy Hardcore section! (not the already existent old skool/hardcore section) It is a fairly limited choice of 39 records at the last count, and there is no new releases but there's a fair few old skool (1996 style) gems on there. No Nu-Energy or Evolution yet of course but there's some old Sy stuff, a vinylgroover release! And a few Impact releases too.
This wasn't what I was expecting whilst looking for some drum and bass vinyl!
If this isn't a sign of the increasing popularity of hardcore, I don't know what is. Everyone wants a piece of the action now! It can only be good for the scene that people in high places are now giving hardcore the same amount of respect as other styles of music.
