now im a rocker, always have been and I probably always will be..
I like stuff from Hendrix and Pink floyd to raised fist and avenged sevenfold etc.. hard punk, screamo etc..
But I got into electronic music as a joke since me and my friends always made fun of gino beats and I thought they were "ok" but needed to be harder and faster and then I found hardcore, hard trance, gabber, speedcore etc.. and I am totally in love.
whats been on TSR for the past 20 mins or so is just ****ing awesome.
problem is, I dont know DJ names or anything so I dont know where to find it to buy it/*edit*
well just thought id get it out
later

First of all, no downloading. Get winamp and use it to tune into happyhardcore.com radio at the top of the page. It will show who is playing, if its just a mix or if its a cd that can be purchased. And there is always good stuff playing.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/ref=dp_sr_00/002-2108108-0003205 <~~ Some hard stuff. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index%3Dmusic%26field-keywords%3Dhixxy%26store-name%3Dmusic/002-2108108-0003205 <~~ Some trancy & old skool stuff. And then theres the new release from decadance on the front page. {)~No room for hate in Hardcore~(}

shop.happyhardcore.com will have a ton of hardcore cds, vinyl, tape packs ect.
but if you're in the toronto area in canada venture over to outer space records @ 750A yonge st. (www.outerspacerecords.com) they've got a ton of stuff worth checking out as well.

Heh, I was briefly into rock for a while too, then I got back into hardcore again. I guess with me, it always has been since I was very young, i like any music that is loud and fast.
If you want a good introduction to hardcore, you can't go wrong with the latest
bonkers you can get hold of, 3 DJs and most styles are covered. It has proved to be a nice starter pack for many people. I started by buying Bonkers 1 and 6 on the day bonkers 6 first came out, I remember being disappointed because they didn't have 5. The shop is out of business now, it appears that time flys by rather fast.

i still listen to quite a lot of my old rock albums. prefer the more digital "industrial" stuff now though, zeromancer, skinny puppy, goteki etc. as opposed to the metal side of things.

there used to be a radiostream at www.nordcore.de (terror, industrial, gabber), at noize****er's site (can't remember the adress, but you can find it on google) and at shoutcast there was a 24/7 gabberstream at http://130.89.36.24:8000/, but it seems to be down for the time being. There are however some radiostations that have gabber programs sometimes, check out www.dancenet.fm and www.airpeace.fm (both had/ have a radioshow with famous gabber dj's as residents) !GABBER 4 LIFE! I used to be exactly the same!! I listened to rock for years and I used to run and hide and the slightest sound of a repetative beat but the last five years ive been totally addicted to Hardcore.
I always liked fast banging songs and also a good slushy song so I suppose hardcore was the next step really, fast banging music with ballad like lyrics. Wicked!!
Hardcore is the passion of the chosen....
