dood u are 18, it is time for u to say "dad i am an adult, let me make up my own ****ing mind, yes people do drugs and have sex at raves (well sex after is a better idea) but have some respect and trust in me that i have enuf brians in my head to be responsible" dood, dont mean to be judgemental here but it is seriously time u started expecting some respect from your dad...cus yeah he obviously has absolutly not trust in u or faith in your ability to be responsible.
my mum is about as catholic as one can get with out being the pope, but she trusts me enuf and realises that i have a brain in my head and thus she doesn't have a problem with me goin to raves or anywhere for that matter.

Lol. My mom wants me to go clubin as soon as I'm old enough to. And my dad...wants me to move out of the house when I'm 18. So I'm sure I'll have no problem when I'm 18 and would like to go to an event.

I still get nervous before raves, its a common thing the old pre rave jitters, its just excitement. Sometimes just thinking about raving sets me off. Its the knowledge that you WILL have a brilliant night.

never been to a hardcore rave, closest thing I've been to was planet of the drums (all DnB) absolutely nuts. I'm cool with DnB but I'm sure I would have been going absolutely nuts if it were hardcore.

pre-rave jitters are WRONG!!!!
i fell physically and my inside go all weird, i wake up in the morning with guts like i have eaten a dodgy curry, then i am stressed out and just SCARED all day long...now idea y and really wish it didn't happen :(

i mite sound really stereotypical her but at english raves i always thought that there was a shit load of fights and drugs. am i wrong then??

very wrong from my experiences mate, you can't stereotype anywhere like that really, not on the fights part anyway  I've always ended up bumping into the nicest, friendliest people in the world when I'm at raves. you're all there for one reason and everyone can appreciate that. nobody's in you're face trying to start a fight, sell drugs or anything like that, there's security to stop that kinda thing. I think what you're talking about could happen but you'd have to go looking for it most of the time.
I know what you mean about the old pre-rave feeling. I always get really restless, think it's cos' I know the next 12 hours are gonna be some of the best of my life!

I've only been to one rave, but it was enough to make me want to get into the scene. The music, the atmosphere, the people....its just unbelievably sweet. Now I just need to find more raves in the area to go to.
