I've got to agree with the people saying how the Dougal mix is slow. Back then I listened to pretty much nothing other then hardcore, and listening to Dougals mixes between other sets, the speed difference was obvious. Was pretty off putting to be honest, I'm sure he actually played a few tracks well under zero pitch (I remember actually comparing with my records a couple of times just to check!!!). Especially when you'd listen to Brisk, Hixxy etc playing there tracks at full tempo, then dougal straight after.
They were still blinding sets as far as the track selections went and I'd probably think nothing of the speed now without listening to a few other sets from that era first.
Another example of this was taht Master of Hardcore album from about 2002 mixed by Sy & Unknown, and Breeze and Styles. The B&S mix is one of my all time favourites ever but if you listen to the Sy and Unknown mix first, the difference in tempo hits you right in the face.
Back on topic though - think I might rip the old Bonkers albums for the iPod just for old times sake.

Dougals Bonkers mixes were always slow but for many of the tunes he played that is a good thing.

most of the time I listen to hardcore at 190bpm with winamp's dsp speed/pitch tool but dougals mixes for bonkers were perfect, specially those innovate tunes
