(New to hardcore/the scene)
How did all the different flavours/styles of Hardcore come to be? Examples: Happy Hardcore, Trancecore, Old Skool, Breakbeat etc. And what's the differnce;how could you tell what style you're listening to?

As far as i know and like to see it ,It started off with Acid House(Which i dont know much about ,In 1988 till 92??? Then It was old Skool & Old Skool hardcore...Then in 94ish things progressed ,95 Came happy hardcore ,All the way till about '99-'00 Or so ,It died out ,Some producers came up with a trancy element in about 2001 or so??(Whatever) And ever since then its been building up ,I just prefer to call it hardcore now or Nu-Skool hardcore,I think its still trying to find a definitive style ,The trancy stuff wont last much longer :\

What i said about the Acid house & Old skool stuff probably isnt exact ,I dont study it :P ,If its wrong ,Someone will rectify me ..But thats how i see it :)

There's this track called "Heaven"-by DJ Snowman...Ever heard of it? I seem to like it. So what style would it be considered?

Lmao. I actually think it's alright... I thought I liked it because I was actually listening to the HHC Radio. I thought "Heaven" was still playing but apparently it wasn't. LoL.

meh, the Trance stuff wont last longer... YEA RIGHT!
it will stay for quite a long time i reckon... if you think about it, breeze & styles are trancey. So trance style will only stop when breeze & styles die! hahaha - it's here to stay!
