How did everyone first get into the rave scene? How old were you? Where and how has it changed your life?

I was 16 (last year).
Project: Hardcore '03.
Unforgettable. Been smalltime raving ever since, only one larger event since then. But no worries, Project: Hardcore '04 is due april 3rd

Been into hardcore since about 11 - 12 years old ever since i picked up a "Judgement day" tape which was DJ'ed by Marc Smith. First major event was Uproar 6th march 2004 ( Due to being in scotland it aint the best place for major hardcore events ), It hasnt changed my life cause i have listenend to it for so long everything else just doesnt seem to compare to the cutting edge hardcore has ( i.e mad riffs, uplifting, dark & dirty, acid, vocals and so on ... ) .

I was 18. Haven't been to a hardcore event but been to others. Definitly changed my life because of all the great people involved in the scene. Fit right with my new positive outlook. Plus it's kick ass music, and it's been a while since I've heard any kick ass music!

I was 11, someone played me a tape with shooting star on. 4 years later and im a signed artist. mmm...hardcore :D
sadly enough, the tune that got me into it was the force and styles remix of shooting star (or was it unique? never been sure on that one.) ah well, we all have our stories :)

i've been into hardcore for a couple of years now. some friends got me listening to it and i havnt looked back! has changed my life quite a bit cos im just starting to DJ and the big events i go to at the sanctuary i'll remember forever!

First ever hardcore i listened to was bonkers 3 ever since then I've been listening to hardcore and haven't looked back. probably been raving since i was about 15 16

I started listening to hardcore in college when I was 18. Then I kinda moved away from it (what the hell was I thinking?!?) Five or six years later and I back into it. Big time. Someone I know had some mixes he made and they just drew me in. Went to my first rave a couple weeks ago, and it was enough to make me want more. Its a pretty powerful scene if one event can make me re-adjust my style. Now I'm just hoping I can learn to dance (I got no rhythym  )

since 96, but i really really got into it when i heard the "off yer nut" sampler mix by DJ Fury that was free with M8 (magazine)..god i love that mix

I had been into the music and a couple of my friends told me about their experiance with partys..and I had to go

umm prolly 3 or 4 years not very long
i heard some stuff at a friends house and liked it so i started to find out more about it and now im addicted
its changed my life cause it makes me very happy, the people are nice, and when ever u go to a rave u can meet lots of new people

I've been with the scene for about 2 years now... Was brought over by an unknown Hixxy & Sharkey tape my mate had... I saw Bonkers 9 on Holiday. saw the names Hixxy & Sharkey and thought. "I gotta have that!" lol. but didnt have any money, so i left it... But when i got back,i found Bonkers X a few months later! weyhey! And i've been hooked ever since!
