that's wicked mate, mad scratches and good tune selection! wish I didn't have crappy belt drives so I could practice scratching, it sounds mental when you can chuck it into your mixes.

Thanks m8! I really appreciate that...
you can pull off a lot of basic scratching on certain belt drives..
a friend of mine had a pair of Sounlab DLP1's and I managed to do a bit of scratching, but it is a losing battle in the end! so I found out... best to save up for some second hand technics 1200 or 1210's... usually some about somewhere on ebay or in the adtrader try adtrader.co.uk too!

haha, my belt drives came in a full DJ package that cost £120 for the lot! they're great for the money but records skip so easily 'cos the platter isn't very stable. I've got my eye on a pair of STR8-150's tho prob get them this summer. enough respect on the mix though mate, cant wait till i can start producing stuff like that, how long have you been mixing?

you should be able to get technics with no mixer for around 300-400ish for the pair.
I got some with a vestax mixer for 450 second hand... save a little more mate trust me it will be worth it

been mixing properly since about 92-93...
doing gigs since 93-94
I haven't done any REALLY large events, largest crowd I played infront of was 700-900 people... WOW what an experience that was I can tell you.
I took a break and sold up 99-02 (person probs and other commitments) and am now picking the pieces up and making my way back.
the easiest way to the top is to blag and make friends with promoters and other top DJ's... keep yourself in the picture as much as possible and just have a chit chat with the promoters (not necessarily about DJing) keep pushing yourself sending demos and following them up with loadsa calls...
I dont practice what I preach cus I dont have the time unfortunately,,, but this is the best way (tried n tested by loads of artists) the other way is to win DJ comps (real ones!!! like what DJ Mouse won - not set up shite)
best of luck
