quote: Frolic's parties are popular, but he only touches a certain part of hardcore, he never plays or books anyone else outside his circle... his "charts" are also dodgy.
the charts are dodgy because they're voted for by the happy hour listeners, and they wanna hear the same 15 or so tracks over and over and over and over.
as for the rest, thats not really a discussion even worth having. but i will say, chris books me, and hes one of the nicest people i know, and his parties are awesome. nuff said.

I like Anabolic Frolic better than any other "popular" DJ outthere.
His track selection is what really catches me, i dont care to much for "turntableism" or "perfect beatmatching" Yeah it gets annoyhing if every mix is trainwrecked, but he aint like that. ^_^
All of his Happy 2b Hardcore mixes are better than any Bonkers or UK made mix.
Seems like this board just doenst like him..haha (mostly)
*shrugs*

I wouldn't say that Frolic is as good as he is popular. He's been around for a reallly long time. There are many other dj/producers over in North America that have much more talent than Frolic (Sunrize, AC Slater, Frisky, etc...), but they don't have cd's out in the mall, so alot of your mainstream audiance isn't going to know who they are. I'd be willing to bet that if you went around talking about Gabber alot of people would say "Oh you mean like Omar Santana?"
