I agree with silver. Its 4 cd's. Bonkers can be about those 3 as main stakes, adding another is just like a bonus.

noooo! lol... I hated the breakbeat mix of "Chemical Love"... the hardcore mix was awesome!!!
back to Bonkers, i really really really can't wait for that cd... Hixxy's Bonkers mixes always kick ass... And Breeze's Hardcore Heaven mix ruled too... with Styles' Original Hardcore the Nu Breed mix kicking ass aswell. (i didn't buy that last one because it's got mot of the bonkers 11 Hixxy tracks)
so i have no worries about the cd being crap. I really wanna hear Scott's mix too. He's only been with bonkers since 9, and all 3 mixes have been fab!

In my opinion, and this opinion is only because i havnt seen the tracklisting yet, is this.... Breeze and Styles shouldnt be on Bonkers 12, and wait, before you all twist your face and slate me for being anti raverbaby i have reasoning. Each DJ on Bonkers is on the album pushing out a variety of different hardcore. Hixxy pushes the more trancey raverbaby style of hardcore and a track selection that very rarely ( and i know that he does select other labels )wanders outside his own label, Sharkey pushes the more energetic sounds of freeform while also giving us a variety of up and coming DJ's and lots of different labels to sink our teeth into, While Scott Brown pushes his own style of trancey hardcore ( much more enjoyable than raverbaby i must add, but it is only my opinion ) while also mixing it up with a bit of Nu Style Gabber at the end giving his mix a bit of variety.
So while im on the topic of variety what could breeze and styles give us that isnt already on the album, they wont give us Gabber or Freeform ( but by all means please proove me wrong ), and i got no doubts in my mind that they wont play anything like Breakbeat or the new Bouncey sound that is being pushed in the uk atm ( which i love by the way ). So what is left... TRANCE!. Now we all know that trancey hardcore is the best bet of hardcore ever going commercial, but how about thinking about it like this...
I presume the vast majority of ravers like trancey hardcore ( and this is just an assumption based on the recent Hardcore Heaven awards ) but what about the percentage of people that are getting bored with hearing the same style of hardcore through and through, and lets face it, Hixxy's mix will be a whole mix full of Raverbaby tracks ( prolly with a few next gen and EP tracks, and possibly a few FBI tracks thrown in), Whats left for Breeze and Styles? Hopefully not more Raverbaby because if their release dates get delayed any longer its gonna be another year before i can get the tracks i liked of Bonkers X on vinyl D:!!, so all thats gonna be left is a few Essential Platinum tracks, a few Next Generation tracks, and most probably a few uncreative and sickening timestretched trance tracks ( which it is very sad to see that this very well might be the future of hardcore D: ) so how about i give you this to toy with...
Instead of giving Breeze and Styles the mix ( which is basically gonna be making another mix almost identical to Hixxy's ) how about giving DJ duos who arnt pushing a total trance based sound and allow for something different. Now im not saying remove the trancey sound completely ( as i know it sells ) but all im saying is just allow for a bit more variety!
Here are just a few suggestions off the top of my head...
Brisk and Ham
You would still get your trancey hardcore sound that everyone loves, but the mix could more than likely have a nice fresh feel to it by the possiblity of freeform and ( god forbid ) Breakbeat Hardcore
Dougal and Gammer
Once again, still have your trance, but im sure it would allow for a hell of a lot more creativity, and with tracks like Stomp and Know The Score, I ( and im sure many others ) would find it a more than welcome change to the typically repetative sounds of Raverbaby
Sy and Unknown
Cant forget these two, not only would you still have a little bit of trance ( or as much as is needed ) but you would have a hell of a lot more variety, with scratching and upfront track selections from up and coming producers / DJ's
those 3 were the ones that stood out in my mind as the others you could have and still keep the ever so popular trance sound, therefore not affecting your sales and reaching out to a wider audience which may also increase sales!
Anyway that is just my opinion and i dont want anyone flaming me about my point of view.
thnx
DUMEZ
