In light of my appearance on a couple of flyers and stuff again, people have asked me about what I'm going to be doing within hardcore again, and about labels. This is as good a place to post as any so here we go.
From July onwards I intend to "return" to hardcore (some of the conspiracy theories about my not being around for a few months made me laugh) on a full time basis, producing material for release on my own new label, details of which will be revealed very soon. This means lots of new tracks, new acts and (god willing) DJ bookings again wherever I am lucky enough to gain them.
DFM Records IS still operating (although I am not financially involved any longer) and releases are set to go ahead as planned as far as I'm aware, including Geos 'Dig It' which people keep asking about on MSN. The contact details and website remain the same for the label and hopefully DFM10 will be a pretty cool surprise so I'm told ;)
I WAS disillusioned a little with hardcore for a while as those who know me will sound out, and frustrated at not having the free time I wanted to devote to it, therefore not achieving what I'd hoped for in a lot of areas. My degree (in Music Technology) will be complete in 6 weeks time and hopefully will then allow me to concentrate on the music I've always known deep down I love above everything else.
Armageddon (Manchester, July 9th) sees the official launch of the new label with giveaways and the like. I can't wait to get started and although I know its a lot of hard work to meet my ambitions it won't be through want of trying. Thanks to everyone who's nagged me to get off my arse.
Much Respect
Fracus

That's great news. Rumours of your demise were greatly exaggerated!
The scene needs people like this to keep fresh and exciting.
And a new label, Hmmmm.....
All good

Great to hear of your return .... you made some great tracks.
While i'm here could I ask you of any details about the 'Music Technology' course that you did. I'm very interested in the production of music (hardcore especially) and am currently looking for a course that will support my needs.
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
**Sorry for hijacking your thread, I just saw that you mentioned a course in your post, and and couldn't resist :p**

There are a whole host of music production courses available at various levels. I required some decent A level grades to get onto my degree course, but very few Universities are subject specific about whats needed for music technology (i.e. A Level Music). If you haven't even chosen AS level subjects (as they are now) yet though, then I'd recommend electronics and/or physics as that will help you out with a lot of the theory involved in Music Production (Acoustics, Phase cancellation, FFT Analysis etc).
Hope this helps mate, there should be plenty of resources online about it. Oli G (of Camel fame) is also on the degree course I am doing and I think he'll back me up in saying that its all pretty good stuff, focusing a lot on the quality of music production and synthesis. I imagine it would have taken me a lot longer than three years to pick up the stuff I've learned so far...

Cheers for replying to my post, I will look into everything that you've said. :)
Looks like I better get off my arse and start looking up as much as I possibly can online.
Once again thanks!
