I think their definetly needs to be more played in clubs, rather that the commercial s*** that they play now.
I have a good club in a town near me,Area is its name, quite a nice club, just need to have a few hardcore nights there, they have old skool nites an that but nobody seems to want to touch on the fresh stuff
Maybe not gabba as the club attracts quite a commercial crowd and would scare them away! but just general hardcore would go down a treat and make me go clubbin more too! what u reckon people or am i just dreaming?
Im just fed up hearing r&b and hiphop and commercial dance all the time.

Generally most unhardcore people can't really handle the hardcore... especially if its pitched up. Could drop in the occasional classic into the local dj's thursday night (were gonna be knackered for school 2moro) set, but a room full of 25 - 30 somethings assaulted with hardcore that they're not expecting... could be a floor clearer.
It'd be a braver man than me that drops hardcore into his set at commercial club without forewarning. Probably better left to specialist nights methinks.

one of my best friends is an aerobic instructor at the local gym. She used to play that type of crap that cheerleaders used to dance to (well....she was a cheerleader) until I gave her a mixtape of mine. This may not be a bad thing for hardcore but she's told me that her attendance rate has been increasing ever since I introduced her to it. She says the music has just the right BPM and the people she trains are usually "worked out" afterwards. She's been wanting me to do a "live " set at the gym. Lugging around my equipment is why I have'nt done it yet but do you think hardcore might have a place in a fitness environment? I just keep supplying her with my mixes. She says the majority of people in the class are female, 18-35, and are usually fit. She does alot of the cardio stuff, tae-bo and some of that pilates.....all while HHC is played. I guess it's kinda like a rave, only it's during the day, the lights are on and everybody's pretty much doing the same movements. What are all your opinions on this???

around Essex there is no hardcore. It is all UK Garage and RNB . Though a pirate station called Renegade FM has a good night on a monday for hitting the happy hardcore beats.
Essex needs hardcore, but there is no way people would like that, that is why i look @ london.

I knew it! I had a feeling you guys would agree! And you bet your @$$ I'm gonna go for it. Yesterday I talked to the gym manager to get approval......I already had my friend's approval.......I just need to see what strings I had to pull higher up the chain. I told her I'd do the first "live set" free to see what kind of response we would get to a live DJ. It's only for two 1-hour sets on Fridays and Saturdays. She said I might be lookin' at $50 per set (that's $200 in 2 days) and maybe more depending on how many people turn out. I know it's gonna be a big hit! I'm just worried that I'll get distracted by all the bouncing jubblies and whenever they bend over .........LOL!

I'm thinkin' this will also be a good way to boost my DJ self-esteem. DJing at house parties, you get the occasional people who aren't into your music and they just lean on the wall, this is very disheartening to me. I know I have to accept that everyone has their own music likes and dislikes. At the gym, everyone has to move.......there are no slackers.....now that's what I'm talkin' about. I also have to start including hardcore with uplifting, inspiring sounds that will make people push themselves. I can't include any songs with cuss words and nothing too hard or scary. I find that songs like Standing Still, Make The Beat Drop, Never Stop......... basically tunes from Evolution, Blatant Beats and Next Generation have been well recieved by the gym rats. I'll be sure to fill you guys in once we get this thing in overdrive. I can't wait!

My local club has been known to throw a few hhc classics in to the mix on a thursday night, the likes of Children of the nights and a few F&S tracks are the only ones I can think of at the moment (oh and possibly shooting star)
