Why does noone know about how ****ing wickid hardcore is? when i tell people im into hardcore why do they always say- oh like happy hardcore?- meaning old skool. Not to slag off old skool but ....you know. Theres enough people who know 170 bpm dnb so why not hardcore- it's clearly x10 better!
Maybe we're the only ones who can be prepared to listen to something that hasnt been on radio1(regulary!!) or listen to whatever all our friends are listening to.Or maybe its coz to really get into hardcore you need to listen to a whole set properly to experience the ride

I get what you mean. I have been listening to it since 95ish onwards. I was laughed at and called a drugie most the time as it was association thing. Ooo fair ground music was the best. Thats what they said I listened to. Now every club cd with the typical saturday night tunes a playing happyhardcore done up in dance and saying how great it is.

the distinct difference between us and them is that while they only listen to what is given to them, we go out and search for what we want to listen to which shows a stronger passion for the music than anything they can compare to.
mate you just have to remember that people will never understand because they won't give our music the time of day or the proper chance to understand what we're all about so there's no way we can expect them to change, they'll always class us as pills heads etc etc. so as far as i'm concerned; ****'em
If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd all be runnin' round in dark rooms, listening to repetitive music and munching pills!!!

Funny thing is, I'm a student at uni and have loved hhc as well as techno trance etc since I was about 12. A few of my mates at school listened to a bit off hardcore and trance, but I can honestly say that nowadays I don't know one single person who likes any form of dance music other than the sort of batty disco house you hear in glitzy clubs, let alone happy hardcore.
I do often wonder how the scene manages to stay alive at all, but then again I do live in London and all the decent music is oop north!

yeah that 'disco house' is what has become the commercial norm just because it sounds kandy & warm like but i've listened too a lot of house & trance and alot of it becomes old very quickly!!..
any music scene can become a bandwagon so its best too listen very closely too the individual tunes that you like and then follow the artist/label, a genre can become alien even too itself i find!!...
regards pre....

i know what you mean mate, just keep listening to it loud! there's always the odd open minded person who actually listens to hardcore before ripping 10 shades of s**t out of it they're usually the ones that end up getting hooked like we all did!
i don't really care if most people are too stubborn to listen or give it a try, they're not the kind of people that would benefit the scene anyway so f**k 'em

Ok respect is due to the hardcore hardcore but some people do think the only hardcore that exits is the breakbeat stuff (like frigin record store you walk into and ask for it). Does ne one know ne good record shops around the london area selling hardcore vinyl?
