We all want Hardcore so y don't we all e-mail John Peel from Radio 1 and get it back as it has been wrongfully stolen by the bastardin Basement Jaxx fans and all the other shitty music that has been named dance such as Moby [email protected]
all we have to do is ask for him to start doing individual DJ's or a couple such as Brisk & Ham to come in even if we don't get a 2 hour show even a 1 hour show would do so if your with me then reply to this thread....

Yea mate cos its that easy! it took months for jon doe's campaign to have an effect on the radio 1 big wigs and thousands registered and signed up to it. Many people including myself have and continue to write emails to radio 1, post on their forums etc on a regular basis
Your idea is not new mate and you did not come up with it. Perhaps you should look at whats been happening before you come up with your 'big ideas'

i did e-mail john peel .... he read it out on radio one everyone's doing their bit but it's not all that easy. if anyone could host the clip of my 30 seconds of national radio fame then i'd be very grateful! i can e-mail it cos it's not very big.

That's alright, it was good to hear!
I must have missed when it was broadcast.
Hopefully Mr. Peel will play some more Hardcore records himself then

just everyone emailing John Peel wont solve the issue of not enough hardcore on radio 1 or any commerical stations.

erm ........ obviously, but making people in such positions aware of the scene and it's presence can only strengthen it's chances of national commercial radio coverage.

question is, is it john peel who decides what is played on his show or is it the heads of radio 1 who dictate to him what to play?

its peel who gets the choice, the playlist (tunes which the dj's can select from) stops at 6pm i believe.
If somebody told peel what to play he'd tell um to stick it.

Dont wanna sound like sytronik but just remember there are loads of different types of music which people are just as passionate about as we are and jonny gets emails bout each type every day, and he pretty much reprasents as much as he can-although then again a set by brisk and ham wouldn't go amiss!
Hardcore would never replace or has been replaced by down tempo stuff like basement jaxx- coz in the day time they have to play stuff that you do stuff that you would normally listen to the radio to- like drive or work. Which is why ultra beat made it to the radio- good song but the remix doesnt raise heart beat so much that you crash your car!
Imagine how much listeners they would lose if they played kevin energy straight after will young!

i think as much as anyone on this site would love Hardcore to be on radio, unfortunate to say as many of us there are, we are still a minority. And unfortunately if the radio station lost the majority to please a minority they'd be outta business. But even if it were early in the mornings and you could download it, id be happy

John Peel is 1 of only a VERY small number who can decide what they play.....basically because everyone respects him from the fun loving child, to the hip dancing granny!!!
He get's respect for his shows because he listens to thousands of tunes, and then plays what he likes from rock to hardcore.....and he plays a lot of hard dance/oldskool style tracks for a DJ of his age. That and everyone seems to dig his voice!!! (he does a lot of voice overs for tv programs, and commercials over here)
