Some of it is slammin, pumpin, keerrrraazzzy stuff. But only 20% of what I've heard is. If someone made a mix of that 20%...I'd think it's the best music ever.

It's really odd. I totally love some tracks...wicked stuff and so refreshing...but for every one that I love, there's 4 that I think is really bleh.

I've noticed that Makina is a love/hate thing for many people. Funny thing is that with me, it's both!

I like the new sound of Makina as it is beginning to sound a lot of the UK Hardcore tracks coming out at the moment. I still like the old Makina though as it pretty bouncy but you do get some dodgy cheezy choonz. I would say my fav Makina label is Bit Music who have released a lot of quality stuff over the last few years. I managed to get hold of the Bit Music cd released on Wagram Music which is bangin as f*ck.

time to put my honest hat on, right it's on! don't really see all the fuss here people, you call it Makina but to me that's just a UK Hardcore / Nu Hardcore sound?
am I missing an important factor like a slight (fussy for some people) BPM difference. yeh yeh I know it comes from Spain!! - just call it Spanish Hardcore? try it!? I mean if you go over to Spain they'll just call it Hardcore as in their hardcore, same with holland, dutch people don't call their Hardcore "Gabba" anymore unless they're talking to some one outside Holland.

Yeh basically it is spanish hardcore. But i suppose the name makina has just stuck with it. There is a difference between makina and UK hardcore BTW. alot of the new makina choons r sounding a bit like UK hardcore but there is still a difference.

yeah, I wish I know what this was... from what I can heard it's a BPM difference (like alot of genres)

but to be honest, I don't get into all this what's the new genre/style for this week then?... < I hate all this overused pigeon holing when you don't need it..know what I mean?

for me it's all just hardcore and the only other things that make it different are where it's from and what year was it popular.

Makina is great, but then again that is only my opinion and I like so many different types of electronic music, trance house techno ambeint.. etc I'd say SOME makina -- or what i've heard, and I've heard less makina than most of you being as how I live in the US, is alot like UK hardhouse, but I think it has a great beat! But I'd have to say HAPPY HARDCORE! is the best over all!

Makina, hmmm Spanish erm 'Hardcore'

Think I'll stick to the name Makina to be honest.

Its possibly the most annoying type of music I've ever heard, the synth, the bass line everything about it annoys the hell out of me. Altho I have liked a couple of tunes ;)

Pure cheese with no boundarys. And not a hint of hardness.

U obviously have no idea about makina. aye alot of the older stuff is cheesy but alot of the new stuff is sounding more like hard trance or hardcore. Fair enuff it isn't very hard but I'd rather listen to that than gabba, which just annoys the shit out of me. THATS JUST MY OPNION THO> i cant b arsed with any arguments with narrow minded dickheads that will keep saying makina is crap n gabba is wicked. Its just i dont like it.
People have the wrong idea about makina, its not all cheese n 'kazoo' noises.
Grow up man
