It's worth having them on board as their mix was quite distinctive (well, apart from a couple of tracks), which in turn give the whole compilation a bit more variety. Surely there must be something on Bonkers 12 for everyone?

And come on.....an extra cd for the same money? is it worth complaining?

Trabilizer's idea of having featured DJs on the 4th CD is a good one, and I hope that it might happen. Variety is great and it would give everyone in the scene a chance to put something out (eventually!)
But...

I don't remember Scott Brown on the old Bonkers CDs! . Well, he does deserve to be there, his new mix is simply awesome esp. the last 3rd!

Good point bud... I didn't really think about that. I just consider those 3 as the Original 3 because they have been together for the past 4 compilations without change and cover all the main sectors of hardcore really... if we had Dougal, Sy & Brisk as a 6 cd set, then we'd pretty much have the complete Hardcore collection!
*Drools on idea*

Hey guys, got the CD on monday. Can we get some opinions or reviews on here? I wanna know what other people think!

What I think:
Hixxy: he's gone a bit happy on us, as promised "more of the old style with modern production values". Mostly good and keeps up the recent tradition of a really euphoric great last track. Not quite so much a hit-list as his previous iterations.
Sharkey: Maybe my fav or second fav sharkey cd yet. Great structure and flow, and more liestenable than the last one. Starting to enjoy freeform more and more, but still gotta hear this one some more times. First track is just awesome.
ScottyB: same old same old. GOOD! love this stuff. i get the impression that he's really given up on some of the cheesier hardcore regulars, and seems to be cementing himself at the head of darker hardcore. So much so the same as previous mixes: same amount of gaber vs regular hardcore, same speed and tone. However, would have been great if he had strung a theme together like on Bonkers 10, using a group his own produced trax.
Breeze & Styles: pretty good. more what i would have expected from hixxy (makes sense), providing a hit-list of the cheesier hardcore that u know we're gonna be hearing for the rest of the year. It's good stuff, especially for people who haven't been into hardcore for very long.

Gotta say tho, I'm a huge fan of UFO, and what has happened! His new stuff is ok, but did he have to follow Hixxy down Cheese-out Lane? His work was so strong with an amazing cyber touch. This work is just passable. Sucks.

And about the 4th cd; didnt anyone else see and interview with Hixxy about that disc where he describes it as a cd for "different guests each time". pretty sure i'm not imagining this! You're gonna get your wish.

It's only FUN if it's HARD

I certainly agree .hixxy has got a bit crazy but still good..not his best ever though.but i defentely think Breeze &Styles shoud..STAY!!sum of hixxys tunes sounded like a kinda sharkey style..Breeze & Styles were more kinda hixxy but as ever Scott B's mix was amazin!!especialy Scott B-Really Need You wht a tune!! H T I D

"Really Need You" was a tune, but I think that "All About You" is good too? "Crazy Love" is also quality.

Aye mate, it did sound good on the radio. Sometimes I like songs not to have the scratching added in cause it can get annoying after a while and I don't think its necessary a lot of the time, but its still class when Sy does it.
