Will this fool ever learn. Last year he called Totti a twat,two weeks ago he made a comment when he thought he was off air during the Milan - Depo game sayin "i would of saved that shot with my dick" and during the chelsea game he called Marcel Desailly a "f***ing lazy n****".
Im delighted the soverign wearing tosser has been booted off the telly.

I don't think he's a racist.....I just think he's a ex football coach!!!!!! Surely you must know what it's like in a football enviroment, that sort of "banter" goes on a lot.......but aslong as everyone knows it's only banter, and there happy with it it's alright.......He should have NEVER said it anywhere near a microphone though!!!! When he was manager hardly ANY black players played in football because of there colour......He gave black players a chance and of course famously played Viv Anderson when he was 18 in 1974, and Viv Anderson went on to be the first black player to win a full England cap.

thats what i think too, Simon... I dont think he's racist either, i think he just got carried away with making his point thats all. He had loads of black players when he was manager, like Simon said and obviously isn't racist, he just said something he shouldn't have.
My mate's dad is fine all the time, gets a long great with all people, but when i go with them to a footy match, he'll use negatives against them in frustration... EG:
Tall player = You Lanky Pr*ck!
Fat player = You fat ba*tard!
Clumbsy Player = You Camel Toed Moron!
Black player... you get my drift...?
this is what i think Ron was doing, using the fact that Desailly (sp?) was black against him. I DO think it was wrong to use ni**er, not that "black ba**ard" would have been any better... But i think he could have used the second one as an excuse of getting too hyped, but theres no real way he can reverse the first one...
oh well, bye Ron, You helped a lot of black players into football, ironic that it's that same reference that ended your career too...

Seriously though, i do tend to agree with Simon and trailblazer on this one. Yes, the comments shouldn't have been made but plenty of people get carried away in the heat of the moment and he seemed clearly annoyed with Chelsea's performance (as most people would have been). While that doesn't excuse what he said, it does perhaps begin to explain it.

I was one of the people who sat in monaco watching that crap...but i still love chelsea....
