Boston isn't a bad place to be. I don't know how far you are from Toronto, but every other month there is a Hulla party (which is put on by anabolic frolic). There's a great vibe at these parties and if you haven't been you should go. Also a crew called goodfellaz put on events on a pretty regular basis, next one is may 14 or 15. There's a pretty good hardcore scene up North you just have to know where to look. Good place to find out about stuff is www.pitchedup.net, go to the forum and you can find an events section.

Heh. Does "J.P" stand for Jonathan Peters? He's a DJ at Sound Factory right?
...ARE there ever any events in New York City?? I'm not talking about like in Buffalo and Boston, but like IN Manhattan!

jp does in fact stand for mimster peters.......and soundfactory is closed. jp recently bought black, the old exit on W 56th. as of right now, i am an avid follower of the house music scene.....and as for decent events in nyc around hardcore music or anything in the "rave" genre ie d&b, happy, psy, anything......negatory. nyc is officially, dead. however house music is progressively gaining "umph". ive been following it religiously for 3 years now and have yet to loose any interest. jps classics party 2 weeks ago was ridiculous, club was capacity 2 hours after opening and he spun for 27 hours....stayed till close......:)

bit off topic but i just remembered about ur promotion for being club night validator, just wanted to say hope its all going well and congrats If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd all be runnin' round in dark rooms, listening to repetitive music and munching pills!!! *.*Jester*.*

if things ever change with the government then the scene can flourish, but as long as there are people like bush running things and the ultra conservatives with money buying them votes, it's going to be tough. But i have a feeling withing the next few years something big is going to happen as it usually does when a generation with a new outlook comes about.

it never ceases to amaze me the sheer fountain of knowledge that spew out of our mods and adv. members!!! nice one.
and as my good man trabilizer said, yes it is true, as far as hardcore is concerned, the uk is kickin arse; however this isn't strictly as true in the more southern parts, (i.e. where i live )
If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd all be runnin' round in dark rooms, listening to repetitive music and munching pills!!!

If you say the hardcore rave scene is dying you're nuts... it's thriving more than it has been in a while. You just need to know where to look... that said, I have to say I'm not all that impressed with frolic's hullabaloos lately. It just ain't the same by what I've heard and honestly it's not worth the trip if neary every raver (maybe notsomuch the newbies and candy kids) returns with nothing but bad stories.

well the last few hullas were more fun than the ones a year ago i gotta say. maybe it was the headliners he finally brought in, but the vibe has been better over all i'd say.
though the new travel party is goodfellaz... un-freakin-real they are and as things grow they're only getting better. may 14th and 15th is looking like it's going to be THE weekend of the year.
