hey, I just listened to the newest version that you put up. this is wicked as a first attempt man, I really like it. the only thing I can think of possibly changing is the bass. it could be a little bit stabbier (new word) to make it stand out and make the tune a bit more stompy, other than that keep at it cos that's really good

It's pretty cool!

But for some reason, it makes me think it sounds like something that would be played at a club...sounds commercial. Anyways, I really like it! Great Job!

Easy,

Try timing the loops in acid so that the strings you have sampled merge together a little better. Also, listen to a few professional hardcore tunes and check out the arrangment ... maybe get one of your fav tunes and copy the beats / percussion structure.

I would also get yourself a new kick, the one you are using there is lost in the mix and a good kick can really make a hardcore tune drive.

I like that you have opted not to use a strait forward 4/4 bassline... variety is good, be careful as too much variation from the 4/4 bass can make a track loose its drive and overall weaken what could be a good tune.

also, take a look into compression and the way it works, myself and overflow have started recently to use compression alot and i find that it helps the tune sound full and stand out, there are many many tutorials online regarding compression etc.

For the timebeing, being a nubee to the production thing, take a look into getting some software like fruity loops, or cubase, they are not amazingly complicated once you get the basics and they can produce some excellent results.

Overall.. i like the riff etc.... just do some tidying up here and there and you will be on to a winner.

Regards

DeejayBee
