What is happening around us is not new.
You know Demolition Man? The perfect society? Thats what this is headed too. But this perfect comes at a cost. A very high cost. All these additions to our standard of living will take away our basic rights, like choice.
Its sad. But its bound to happen, unless of course we insight massive rebellion and anarchy.

Well, i don't know if you would have to go that far :P But there are alot more normal people than there are govenment people, so if enough people deciced not to let it happen then there wouldn't be alot the governent could do about it.

All this sorta of hardware is on the way, and it'll prolly be quite a challange to crack if they do what they are planning to do.
But people are very unlikely to accept it, and just hold onto thier old hardware until they are forced to give up :) Sure I warez a bit of this and that, and I'm gonna continue to do so... and it's not going to be an easy thing to stop - people have had a taste of this freedom now and they won't give it up easily :)
