Hey, i just got into Rave music and stuff a month ago , i picked up a track and never looked back , which is funny because i use to be a hardcore crusty punk rocker.
anyways im looking for some people who can suggest some good happy hardcore or trance , but be specific on whether it is trance or happy hardcore.
i havent heard much lately but what got me hooked was:
cloudskipper - back to the drawing board 2
anyways any help would be nice cheers

if you want an idea of what hardcore tunes and styles are around at the minute I'd suggest getting the "bonkers 12" album that's been recently released by React. I'm afraid I can't really help you much with the trance side of things but here's a thread that's got a list of different people's favorite hardcore tunes from past and present on it. give them a listen and see what kind of thing you're into then let us know what tunes you liked and people will be able to suggest more of a similar style!
it'd also be a good idea to tune into the radio on this site, it's 24hr and has loads of different hardcore mixes playing. Good luck  here's the link:

i recommend gettin hold of bonkers 11 and bonkers 12, they hav sum of the best hardcore tunes on. if u like them i recommend gettin more of the bonkers stuff, thts wot got me in2 hardcore.

yeah if u go on the HMV website and have a look on there, type in Bonkers, adn search for bonkers 12 u can hear every song on the album, or go to www.react-music.com they might have sum samples on there, dunno tho

do you like harder in yo face stuff or floofy magic stuff for trance?
If you like the harder trance try dark by design they are probably the best dj/producers I have heard for trance in quite some time.As far as the floofy stuff I dunno ...im not really into cheese too much although some is tolerable I guess.
For hardcore yet again I will reccomend somethin with very little cheese that being dok or dj dodgee.They explode the dancefloor without fail and they are from canada too I believe.They are not considered happyhardcore but they are considered dark freeform and a lot of people who used to make happy are leaning more towards freeform these days.
I was a punk rocker too oi.I always used to like the really melodic double bass stuff like bad religion and pennywise.Thats prolly why I like my hardcore trancey and fast.It gives me almost the same rush and leaves me wantin more.
Last but not least I got a few tunes I made that are this freeform I speak of at my website at www.polarizednorthstar.com all downloads are free there.

I love Bad Religion, been listening them for about 10 years, although i prefer their older albums :)

I haven't really been keepin up with the punk rock scene so im still stuck in stranger than fiction and recipie for hate days ha ha.I just want to say these bands are just as influential in my music as any one of my techno producer favorites.They gave me my love for intense driving rythems mixed with a melodic breath of fresh air.

i listened to mostly crust, you know where they complain about the poverty that we put ourselfs in over here for the best part , 75% of the people i was squatting with choosed not to get a job
