Just got this today and its a quality CD. Its compiled by Makina DJ's "Bolo & Uri" who are well known producers in the Spanish Makina, Hard House & Hard Trance scene, so they have a bit of variation. A lot of the tracks sound really UK Hardcore and there is a quality tune that stands out:

X-Que Vol.8-Beautiful Day

A lot of them sound like Scott Brown, and are really Trancy Hardcore which I know a lot of people like these days. I highly recommend this CD. Also look out for "Best Of Makina 2002" which was the first one released, this is very hard to find for some reason!

All tracks on these CD's come from the quality label-Bit Music (My Avatar!!)

A very dodgy thing I noticed on the cd was a tune called "X-Que Special Remixes Vol.1-Torn". It sounds exactly the same as the new one on Remix Reloaded by "David Pammies & Cesar Benito-Torn" but this one is released on Bit Music.

2 listen 2 that dodgy "Torn" tune:

Not got "best of makina 2003" would really like to hear it, have got best of 2002 one plus have 2 "dj makina" cd's mixed by bolo + uri that r the absolute bizness. My fav spanish dj's though would be Pastis + Buenri there X que compilations r out of this world. Bolo + Uri regularly play Hangar 13 in North East england and when i saw them blew me away. And in answer to u're question about Torn it is a makina track that has been released under a different name for U.K hardcore. X que is a spanish rave and when releasing it 4 U.K changed the name and added U.K remixes i.e Scott Brown on B side. Also New Spirit on b side to Breeze mix of torn is a spanish tune by same artists. There used to be a big difference between spanish and U.K tracks but have 2 say there all sounding a lot more similar these days, think a lot of spanish dj's took a big influence from Scott Browns stuff but can still tell the difference and is all quality. Used 2 b mostly in2 spanish but these days am buying at least as much of the new trancey U.K stuff. If u want to add me to Msn my address is [email protected] and i'll send u sum of my fav spanish from last few years.

Yeah mate. I've got these DJ Makina CD's and they are quality. I've got the 4 of them, but I don't know if there's anymore on the way. The tunes on them are really pumpin. Also I would like to get the collection of the 100% Makina CD's but that would cost a wee bit 2 much money!!

30 minute samples of "Best Of Makina 2003" (Misses out the best bits in sum songs though)

Nah mate. The old makina used to be, but the new stuff is starting 2 sound really good. Some of the old Makina used to be annoying and you still get sum of that but I think most of it is brilliant these days. If u visit the earlier topic on makina u can listen 2 sum good tunage:

Totally agree Capone m8 think evry1 should check out http//www.vinilmusic.com listen to novedads in maquina some of the new releses r out of this world. Evry1's opinion to there own rite enuff u like what u like and i'm glad not evry1 likes the same but i love bouncy spanish especially the new stuff but like the old classics as well. Will straight away say a lot of makina is far 2 cheesy, but thats up 2 u as a dj 2 pick the best tunes for your set. Personally i like trying to mix new U.K stuff, spanish and harder stuff all in my set. This way i think u get more variety and sound a bit different from every other wannabe dj out there.

Yeah mate, I totally agree. When I do a few mixes I like to have a variation in tunes. I like to have some cheesy tunes, then some bouncy and fast tunes and then finish off with some bangin stuff. I don't have many Makina vinyls cause the postage charges from spain are to high which is a bit annoying.

Here's the one's i've got so far:

Pont Aeri Vol.8-Sweet Revenge (Includes Scott Brown Mix)
DJ Pildo-Hard Style E.P
Hard Bass DJ's-Electronik World

http://www.divisiondance.com
http://www.makina.co.uk
http://www.aticomusica.com

These are sum good stores to check out, if you don't mind the high postage costs!!

Aye m8 no wat u mean about postage costs bit steep, alrite if u're makin a big order though and with vinilmusic or divisiondance sites always find plenty i want. The guy who runs www.makina.co.uk Dj Scott used 2 use this site and he's rite good 4 advice and gets in some vinyl u cant find on spanish sites. Only problem is no sound clips and i always want 2 no wat i'm buyin first. As i said Capone m8 if u've got MSN add me on cos got quite a lotta good spanish on my computer mostly from a couple years bck now but crackin all the same. All the new stuff i've gots on vinyl and dont have shit 2 put it on my computer yet but once thats sussed i'll b uploadin that as well. Never seen that aticomusica site before will check it out now, and must say i love that new Pont Aeri track 1 of their best yet. Am makin it a mission that in the next year i'm gonna make it to X-que and experience the best makina rave + see Pastis + Buenri live on 4 decks.

That dodgy torn song which u heard was the original. I heard this track over a year and a half ago now. It is seriously old but they did a remix type thing for the uk audience as no one here has heard it. One of the artists I forget made a really good makina version of Spring which is originally by RMB

go to www.djpunch.com before you could download all the albums which u have just mentioned although now he charges.

also try www.totalmakina.fr.fm

Not really sure what 1 of the dj makina's r my favourite to be honest just love how bolo + uri mix so much hard stuff with the bouncy bit tunes. The 1st dj makina was one of the first makina cd's i bought so i'll always like those tunes but the 2nd one's more up to date and mixes even more styles. Normally dont like hard house but some of the stuff bolo + uri were mixin in 2nd cd sounded like a cross with hard house and makina and surprisingly really worked. Have u heard many of Bolo + Uri's productions they're superb can't help buying them. my favourite's probably

Yeah mate I really like Bolo & Uri's tunes, their tunes sound good either with a bit of Hard House or Bouncy Hardcore. Pastis & Buenri are also quality.

Pastis + Buenri r spains no 1 in my opinion. Jus the way they mix hard, cheesy, bouncy, old, new all together and sounds so smoothly done gonna make sure i get to go see them at some time. Really like Javi Tracker as well at minute theres a crackin mix by him on sbthq.net at minute. He's not quite as technically accurate as Pastis+Buenri but tremdous think he does 4 deck mixin himself. Really like a lot of the brittish dj's but not enough do real turntablism like that at events. Think it's probably because they've not got MC's at the raves there it's more on the dj 2 put on a live show for the crowd but i love it. Quite a while ago on this site a spanish boy put up loadsa video clips of X-que looks immense watchin them BCN mix live. 2 be honest one of the best makina dj's is Haston. Crackin havin a scottish dj who in probably less than a year BCN mixin is up with the best of them. Think he's definitely the most under rated dj in Britain only ever plays in the North East though would love to see him booked to more events around the U.K. I'd like 2 c events with a variety of hardcore from all round the world but doubt it'll happen most people seem 2 like a certain type and thats it. Did u go 2 the Scotland vs England event at the barrowlands a couple years ago when all the geordie makina dj's n Mc's were up against all the old Scottish 1's like Ultimate Buzz and Tom Wilson. Probably the best event i've ever been 2, how's the scene in glasgow anyway these days was lookin really good when i left a lotta good events were poppin up.
