I live in Newcastle!!! Howay the toon!!
well 2 be pedantic, the new monkey is in sunderland. Most of the choons are makina (spanish hardcore). 2b honest the venue is well...shit and just full of 14/16 yr old charvers!! Fair enuff the music is pretty good but if you like that then you'll like the hangar (hangar 13) which is in the north east 2. The hangar is strictly over 18's and has a better reputation basically! The music is pretty much the same but the hangar usually has the new makina choons and hard trance whereas the monkey just plays makina from the past 10 years. The MCing is different 2. (BTW which MC's where on that tape.cd??) The MC's at the monkey tend 2 b fast but u cant really hear wot they're sayin (the likes of Ace, Tazo and TNT - Ace and Tazo back2back OMG ****in amazin!!) but the MC's at the hangar r a bit clearer n probs ot as fast (the likes of Stompin, Techno T, Jet, Stretch - the best MC in the NE IMO)

Go 2 sbthq.net, theyv got loadsa hangar/oasis mixes and an audio section with loadsa popular choons in the North East (hangar and monkey style)

Bloody hell iv blatherd on a bit but i hope i was helpful!!

Hardcore Till I Die...

Steve O no's the score on this 1. New Monkey tunes r the absolute bollox mostly old style makina but also some good old italian and U.K and the first few thousand times u here them they work a treat. Problem is they nevr change the tunes they play although i've nevr been evry tape is the same and i like to hear new sounds instead of canin classics from years ago forever and ever. I didn't really get in2 makina until about 2001 so a lot of these older tunes were still new to me wen i first heard the monkey tapes but now i prefer the newer style stuff dj's like scott and Haston are caning at the Hangar and Oasis. I've only ever made the trip 2 Hangar at the old venue The McEwans centre but i have 2 say it was buzzin atmosphere one of the best raves i've been to. Evry1 was real up 4 it ravers and no 1 gave us any hassle cos we weren't from the area, Bolo + Uri rockin the decks was tremendous North East ravers no how 2 have a party. If i lived up that way would probably end up goin 2 the munky sumtimes jus becos it's open all nite and sumtimes book quality dj's like Skudero and Dani Fiesta but i've heard it's a bit of a death trap if u dont no anybody so if i'm travelling would be Hangar all the way just for the tunes, atmosphere and Mc's.

Stompin is WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY over rated IMO. I used 2 like him, until i heard him say s-t-o-m-p-i-n for the millionth time lol!!! Fair enuff he gets the crowd rockin!! I say watchout for MC stretch, hes only bn around for a couple of years but he definitely has some talent. Tazo and Ace back2back rock the place wen theyr on form! I think most of the North East MC's have the same problem, they repeat themselves 2 much (except the likes of Jet, Techno T and Massive who sort of improvise)
But hav 2 agree wiv Baldo, the likes of Scott, Trouble, Haston n the rest of the Hangar crew are the boyos. The monkey at the min as all old makina whereas the hangar (and oasis) is sooo much more varied. There is new and old makina, UK hardcore, happy hardcore, hardtrance. The monkey tapes do all sound pretty much the same and they dont sound as professional as hangar tapes. The only problem up here is that hangar tapes cost £7 but you can get snide monkey ones from newcastle quayside for £2 (which is wot evry1 buys lol - even I used 2!!)

Jesus I've blathered on agen!!!

Hardcore Till I Die...
