Very nice my Jay :) It sounds alot cleaner (mixdown wise) than your older stuff in my opinion.
This isn't a problem, but the tune does clip, didn't you notice?
I like this though slightly different from your usual stuff :)

splix, you mean the acid? the acid pattern needs work admittedly...but if you're talking about the intro, i love my intro :P
matt, yeah it does clip, heh. probably going to send this one off on demo soon.
and systronik, cubase sx and a tonne of vsts. stick with fl though, better for learning.

Yeah I am sure it is great for learning, the only issue is I cant still produce that real hardcore beat with the synths. Even if it was a simple one I do not know how to do it. I cant seem to find any guides at all on tintinet.

Nice one Rob,
Nice sweeping synths & a phat kick drum. Love it.
Only one reservation, IMHO the tune ends very suddenly, but other than that you played a blinder.
Well done mate

yeah man this is reeeally nice.
its the layered synth arragement that does it for me.
IMO though i'd say the percussion tracks need filling out a bit. I've been adding loads and loads of random bongos and shakes and super pitched up kicks to pad out my percussion tracks and i find that, while it makes the overall mixdown harder, it leaves the tune with so much more energy.
not that this choon lacks energy.
I'd also say put something over the PF sample so you know the drop is about to hit. no need for a long snare roll or any of that but maybe thicken up a breath synth and do a high pass to low pass filter on it
or sumthin
and maybe the squarey soft synth noise at the start with the three note progression could do with changing. kinda sounds like a bit of a SNES sample to me
but then again im a picky bastard.
nuff spec mate though mate, id like to be able to write breakdowns as orchestral and sweet as that
