After a long period of searching for new venues, I can confirm that south coast giants Destiny and Oblivion will be returning by the end of July!
For those that remember, Destiny @ the Manor in Bournemouth was THE biggest rave on the south coast from 1995 - 1999. It was famous for it's "3 arenas, 1 vibe" policy with the finest in drum & bass, hardcore and trance, and bringing ravers Helter-Skelter-quality line-ups for under £10 every single month.

(don't remember? check this old flyer!)

After the Manor closed in 1999, Destiny has done as few smaller events at venues such as The Firestation and Millenium, but has not put on an event in nearly 2 years.
Oblivion (formerly Friction) was Bournemouth's monthly hard dance night from 2001-2003. Specialising in the harder side of hardcore, it started out at the Millenium club, and relocated to the Showbar in 2002. Unfortunately the Showbar shut its doors to "underground" music in December 2003, so Oblivion has been lying dormant since then.
Now, both are ready to make a full-on comeback! Destiny has recently bought the Millenium Club in Bournemouth, a 2-floor 450 capacity venue that has been empty since June 2002. The club is undergoing a complete refit, and will be ready to open under the name "Club Destiny" within the next month.
Every Saturday, Destiny will provide the best in Drum & Bass as it always has. Oblivion will then be on a monthly Friday, providing quality hardcore and old skool, with other underground dance events being held on the remaining 3 Friday's by outside promoters. What this means; 4 DRUM + BASS and 1 HARDCORE EVENTS IN BOURNEMOUTH EVERY SINGLE MONTH!!
Details on the opening night and Oblivion's 3rd birthday event will be up soon, so keep an eye out for details. THIS WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE, BE PART OF IT!!

I remember Destiny, I was a regular there for about 3 years when I lived in Dorset!!

Quality nights out.

Edd, do you know if 'Adrenalin' is still running?

I used to be a regular there too when it was run at the G-Spot in Blandford & Enzo's in Salisbury, but I moved away in 2002, so don't know what's been happening down that way now.

I may take a trip down South soon to catch up with some mates & I think it would be ace to get a night out when I'm there, so let me know when Destiny opens & I'll see about arranging my trip to fit.

Sakkara.

enzo's shut down at the end of 2002, and since then the only party adrenalin have done was at the g-spot in blandford last boxing day (remember cold turkey?)
dont think there's any plans for them to make a full on come back im afraid, at least destiny will be back though :)
