Hardcore is a state of mind............it's energy on a tape, CD or record.

Like most have said already, it's uplifting, it's a variety of styles that bring people together, it's in institution that creates happiness.

I like many different styles of music ( ), & find that when I go to other types of event i.e. Hip Hop/Rock/House, that most of the people there are conserned with appearances & attitudes. At a hardcore event, everyone is there for the love of the music, appreciation of the DJ's & MC's as well as the fact that everyone else in the room/arena/stadium is there for the same reason. That puts everyone in the same boat & breaks down the barriers for most. It makes it easier to say hi to folks, it makes it easier to enjoy yourself & it makes it easier to go and dance you t*ts off all night without feeling too self aware.

I love hardcore because I've had a chance to see and experience a new evolution in music, & one which I'm proud to say I have contributed to.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm just back from an event & still feel a bit hyper!!

Sakkara

Sakkara ahs just justified my love for hardcore in a nutshell really, but to add, for me personally, it justs carries a deeper meaning and feeling in it than any other genre i know.

there's something about them happy uplifting piano and beats that just really makes me truly happy; if it weren't for hardcore, i would have killed myself by now, and that is not a joke.

If pac-man really had an effect on us, we'd all be runnin' round in dark rooms, listening to repetitive music and munching pills!!!

Thank you Very much and I feel exactly the same way... You don't even need drugs! Its like the best feeling when what your spinning is what you like and everyone can dance to it! Its totally individual taste you know but there's nothing more uplifting! "I can fell the sun shining down on me!" And to Squishy Star, did I make you mad about the being too young joke.. At my party it was all teenagers but they're not into Hardcore like us =(...

why not listen to music that has an uplifting beat and makes you want to dance, stomp or whatever it is you do when you hear it.

What can I say that hasn't already been posted. Hardcore is great but true it is not for everyone. It's more of an aquired taste. usually you're hooked on it or your not, but not always. i love hardcore because it pumps me full of energy and makes a little over zealous and rambunctious.

i don't want to go all deep and stuff, but one of the reasons that I love it so much is because i get to chat and post on this board and i'm not the only one here. hardcore has brought us all together in a common bond and we share with eachother our feelings and what not, and we don't even know eachother. we talk with eachother like we have know each other for years, yet i don't know what anyone here looks like, i've never heard any of your voices, no one here knows what i look like or where i'm from, but it doesn't matter one bit because we have one simple thing in common and it's love for hardcore. hardcore is good, it's pure kindness, innocence, and its total sonic childhood memories that never happend to us, yet happens to us all at the same time we put in that cd, or put down the tone arm on a fresh track. we all become a kid again, or become an adult sometimes becoming a kid for the first time. give me a distorted 808 kick, a broken beat and a smile. give me a hug and we'll call it hardcore. nuff said.

respect

If it's late and I'm listening to it I even can -unintendedly- start to sleep, so I'd better listen to it earlier. That's because it makes me so relaxed.

Anyway, happy hardcore is the ultimate way for me to 'charge my battery', to escape in music (yeah I also still like 2 unlimited: escape in the music).

When I feel bad, it makes me feel good and when I feel good it makes me feel better!
