I don't think this guy likes any kind of hardcore.
Not many have been able to do so, but this guy has been able to piss me off with two sentences. SOB even f*cked up the definition of "gabber". How dare he make all these assumptions? the motherf*cker even misplaces tracks. Gabber being a US-style???
Roterdam being a style? That ain't even used by real gabbers! Could have put in Frankfurt and Berlin aswell while he was at it.
I bet he even invented some of this shit or heard it from a smartass friend that talks nothing but trash.

SOB even used the term darkcore for the drum and bass syle but didn't even add it to the f*cking list, instead the f*ck puts it under European gaber like there's no difference!

Threre should have been like 50 people making that list. At least 5 persons / genre, people that know what is what. But Ishkur dont even take any corrections. That genre list is a good idea though. But it is made from one narrow point of view, witch really is a shame.

Whisperings got it in one, needs more contributors to sort out the bias. Could be a very useful resource with a few tweaks.
But as a piece of work I think its very impressive technically.
Anybody know of any other guides out there?

I saw that site a while back good idea for a site if it was done serious it would be brilliant. It has a great layout and its deady the way you can hear a selction of each genre instead of just going on the writing description like most music genre sites.

MY only problem with it is that I was ATTEMPTING to use it to classify myself (because I am a low level intermeidate), but just ended up feeling like the hardcore genre was belittled and had no respect held for it.

I have consulted Ishkur about the hardcore section and he refuses to change it as he thinks it's correct... he labels the genres on what he thinks they sound like and what not what they actually are... He thinks he knows every genre in the world and takes personal insult when you tell him he is wrong...
The whole thing is overly complicated and he has added a ton of crap to make him look smarter because it's large and bulky when it is just a pile of BS.
NEVER USE THIS GUIDE it is wrong in so many ways...
