Hi all. I'm new :D.
I want to be a DJ, I was into Trance, but before I decided to spin Trance, I wanted to explore other electronic genres, and i picked up 'frolic's Happy 2b Hardcore, the latest volume. After listening to it, I was sad.............I've been missing out on some good music!!!!!
Anyways, I want to know more about this genre. What are your favorite songs/labels etc. etc.
I'll check out the songs and labels next time i go to the shop.
And is there any links i can go to on the history of hardcore?? I think it's important to know the history before i start spinning it.

Essential Platinum
My favourite new ones are:
Blizzard Tracks
KFA
Raw Elements
Those are the ones i can think of at the moment anyway.
All them labels release and have released very good tunes, in my opinion :)

Launch the real time tracklist for the radio, tune into the radio for a few weeks... you will find out all the artist names and labels you like by listening.
Then goto Shop.HappyHardcore.com and buy em :)

It works for 95% of the stuff on there, but does not work for singles so you might not be listing to a mix perhaps?

Silver had good adivse, but you can do both at the same time. Just go thru and start listening to recs, see what sounds good =)
As for a histy, i cant give much of a history. but i can say,
there was breakbeat, then there was happy, then there is now =) haha
