No we don't say soccer here in the U.K., its just football.
anyway for me it would be hardcore; a) coz i like it more than football generally, and b) football can tear people apart as well as bring them together, hardcore only ever unites people; i prefer people and unity to a game.

i'd say hardcore over football or any other sports.
but then again, i haven't really watched any sports (cause i don't know when and what channels they're on) so i don't really know.
