No mate, you're dead right.
These past couple of years i've bought loads of old tunes that i turned down 7-8 years ago - ended up costing 3 times as much too!!

You're right, I might hear a tune for the first few times and think "hm, s'alright, but I don't like it enough to want to buy it" - then suddenly realise actually that it's an amazing tune! I suppose in many ways it's a good thing that they let everyone get to know the tunes before releasing them!

Yes, but I suppose it happens to everyone, in every genre of music, I always think that a good solid track needs time to grow on people, and in some cases it's aslong as several years later when you think, actually this tune is pretty darn stomping!

This is why I buy anything that even remotely appeals to me. Because songs that I love the first time I hear will become boring and the ones that grew on me will live long.

definitely happens to me. One of my favorite things to do when I'm having trouble making new mixes sound just right is to just grab random records from the back half of my crates and start throwing them together. I usually end up jumping around, going from genre to genre just having a great time and it makes mixing that much more fun.
This also goes well with a few rum and cokes or a bottle of wine

wen i 1st got bonkers mutation i thought it was a dissapointment-but this woz in the morning wen i woz tired. Listened 2 it again that nite b4 going out and realised it woz fantastic.

Buy anything that you think sounds ok because it might sound better on a larger system or it might get remixed later on into a massive new anthem and then everyone will want the orginial.
I passed up on many tunes that I should have taken... now I buy every hardcore release that comes out (mainly for the radio) but also for me :)
