I think it should be mixed by the MC's... Storm, Whizzkid, Marley, Smiley & Wotsee. and it should be of 2 types
1) a mix with all the MC tracks like Underground, Connection, I'm A Raver, Just Accept it, Huggermugger, Ordinary people etc...
2) a normal mix just hand picked by the MC's
this could be an interesting mix as the MC's will have a better idea of what the crowd likes as they are at the bottom of the stage with them!

the DJ's are concentrating on mixing and what track to play next, right? and where are the MC's? right at the front shouting at the crowd! lol... I mean, the DJ's might look up occasionally, but the MC's are right in there with them ans see the exact response and hype them up:

the mc's idear is a great one as he knows the right in there whit every one knoeing what every one likes all they cloud do a x-mas one of disc whit every dj and one whit all the mc's mc'ing on every disc like strom and sy hixxy wizz kidd and so on that would be wicked but what every 13 is it will be good and every one plezz but Styles & Breeze - You're Shining for them and the hardcore and pust it to number 1 its on the 12th july calling too the bbc chart site so its out tommorw for us luck uk ravers

My only beef with the whole MC's picking the tracks thing is that they cant beatmatch, and they might not understand flow as well.
Other than that you are right on about the MC's knowing the crowd better. However, thats why people bring whistles to parties and horns to raves.

I think th makina idea is a gud idea, plnty of gud makina DJ's, especialy pastis nd buenri. My only problem with this is if they mix BCN style coz i dnt think many ppl wud go 4 that. Also depends on what type of makina choonz r played coz there is the 'kazooie' stuff, the older happy bouncy stuff but i suppose with it being bonkers its gonna be new material. The new makina by ruboy/alkhemiens etc is starting to sound more like UK hardcore and is BANGIN'!!!
Anyway, as this will never happen, I tink it should be brisk or brisk n ham. I think brisk is one of the most underrated djs. His mixing is always tight and his choon selection also pretty good (not 2 mention his own choons)
BTW i realise my english aint very good here but i just got up!

I doubt it will happen as well but would like to see a makina dj get a chance because i dont think it gets enough coverage outside North East england and a lot of ravers would really like it. Agree with steve o that a hard bcn mix wouldn't fit with bonkers but i would love it. A Pastis + Buenri session where they mix a bit of old and new would gone down superb or if the Dj's to be from U.K then Dj Scott would be my choice. For the reason that they would probably be too hard for the bonkers audience i wouldn't choose Bolo + Uri or Haston and for the same reason don't think a breakbeat hardcore dj would fit with what they're looking for.
