This story generated a good debate amongst my co-workers and i thought id share the story with you guys. Please feel free to post your oppinions:)
The Facts: A 32 year old man that found out he had contracted the AIDS virus went on a sexual rampage with AT LEAST 40 women who had no idea he had the virus. Different ladies gave the same story about how he was the "sweetest guy in the world". but eventually he'd have sex with em then leave. He is currently being charged with 12 counts of 1st degree assualt with sexual motivation that will get him a 132-year sentence. For those 40 women, (roughly) if they had at least one partner thats now 80 people who lives are in danger without them even knowing. If they each had two partners etc......
Although this type of thing has never happened before. I feel that you should be tried for murder. He knew exaclty what he was doing and although all these women are still alive, I think he killed em. What about you guys?

it has happend before, in maryland i believe, college student did it to a few ladies.
you gotta understand, when they put someone on trial they have to chage him with what they can make stick. maybe murder couldnt be proven as well as assualt. bottom line is he got busted and wont be out anytime soon. what i dont get is why people are making a big deal about what he is charged with, shouldn't people be more concerned about finding those who may have contracted the virus and getting them tested? Seems to make more sense to me.

The women that have contracted the Human Immunodeficiency Virus which causes Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome are the ones people should be most concerned about. Just lock this man up and find and test these women that he had "sexually assualted." What they are or are not charging him with, isn't going to help these women in the future. What sucks is that this women might not even know they have the HIV virus. Some times it takes many years before any symptoms are visible. So without knowing, these women that have been infected will also transmit the disease.
Yeah, so I guess he can be charged with murder only in the long run because well...none of them are dead YET.
But I bet this happens all the time, it just doesn't necessarily get reported to the public/news.

yea im not doubting that this happens more often then people know. This particular case "the 40 or so women who had sexual relationships with this guy OR his femal partners have either refused to be tested or cannot be found,"
so yeah The4th, their tryin to find these people. What makes it harder is that tests' do not normally reveal the virus in its intial stage.

Well, in response with the topic name I'd have to say: death.
Yup. Death is the worst killer.

simular story happened in Western Australia last year
a Man of mid 20s, was going around sleeping with teens from the net
he had AIDS and one of his victims caugh it, 17year old
he got 2years in Goal (Jail) I believe
we get there hardcore, now we get there cows

ryg0r, death doesnt kill anyone.
As for Aids, in USA last year (2003):
36000-54000 got infected by HIV. 10000-18000 people died because of AIDS.
As for that guy, there has been similar cases here too. I think if he knew about the disease, did nothing to prevent for infecting the women, then he did kill and torture 40 women.

There was a similar story over here a few years ago, some bloke carried a syringe with his infected blood in it and he would walk around night clubs and infect as may people as he could by scratching them with it as he bumped into pepole. Very scary

Legally, I'd say that the guy couldn't be tried for murder unless he forced them to have unprotected sex with him. Otherwise, if it was consensual and they chose not to use anything, they can't charge him with murder. Claiming ignorance on the AIDS issue in the US just isn't going to stand up.
None the less, the guy is a complete waste of space.

I'm sure there was something similar happen in the UK. The guy who done it was charged with sexual GBH. Not sure on the sentence.

Wow.....thats just as bad as this guy. The people he stabbed in the club had even less of a chance then these women here. Damn this world sucks sometimes

that same crap happened at parties over here...at a party a girl ran up on the stage told everyone to get out because there was someone going around sticking people with a needle(s)
