ok theres been WAY too many threads about what people think of commercialised hardcore music so please dont re-discuss that again in here, I'm just wanting to know if anyone else thinks its "wrong" to use rave footage in the clip. . I feel this will cause people to get the wrong image of the rave scene (ie theyll think their commercial crap gets played) and sure they may realise they were wrong but there is always a chance this will draw them into the scene and help destroy it...
thats my opinion now lets hear yours (your opinion of the subject NOT your opinion of what i think :P )

IM HARDCORE UNTIL I DIE!

I think its like lying and its abusive for the Hardcore fans that are on it. I know music videos like to use "images" that make the music more "cool", but its abusive, i wonder if the ppl on it knew about it?

Not seen this video yet but have heard it shows footage from one of the hardcore heaven events i was at. Whether it's dancey pop shit or not i'm not bothered that footage of myself and other ravers could be on it and to be honest would rather watch a video with some rave footage than the other shit they play on music channels. But then again this whole commercialisation of hardcore thing doesnt really bother me as long as theres people making the stuff i like as well.

Does'nt really bother me what type of footage they use in the video but I can understand that it will have people thinking that commerical shit gets played at a hardcore event!

I seriously doubt many non ravers think deeply into what music gets played at raves and i couldnt care what they think anyway. As long as you can find events and tunes that you enjoy then there shouldnt be a problem so let them enjoy tunes and events that suit them. Simple as.

lol i just watched it and now i feel all dirty
first time i heard what everyone was talking about, you know "the song"
wow, i dunno what to call it. not dance, not trance, not even shoddy house. it was....violating.
i like breeze & styles, styles & breeze, but if i were in that clip i would feel wronged.

One good part, you have that many people attending a rave event with hardcore music....I've never seen something like that in the States. That many people, yes, Starscape should be about that large, and of course Ultra(although I've never been) but with hardcore headliners, no way.

thecrazyg, i couldn't agree with you more. i know you said not your opinion on what you think, but you got it spot on. On that matter, im not impressed with the video - same old crappy club scene, dj trying to look hard, bird singing in the wind with nothing but a tight black dress on. Bout time someone did something original :/

i was there when the footage was taken, it was may the 1st, hardcore heaven the finale. everyone was told to get into the main arena at a certain time cos wer were going to be in the video for breeze and styles' - you're shining ..... they then played it twice and filmed us raving our little socks off.
now granted we werent really told that the TV version wasnt going to be the one we heard, but in the end im not too sure it matters. ppl moan when hardcore is a dying scene and then moan when it gets an increase in attention again. personally i dont mind the footage being used, i think it's cool ppl are shown what really goes on when the music is played out live ........ in short, its better than a crappy animated video cos i'm in it

i once saw a cartoon late at night around 1999 on ITV (westcountry) which had Triple J - Have It All, in the background
and there used to be a program on either Childrens ITV or CBBC about computer games around the same time which had a hardcore theme tune, which was a really cool tune too...ill see if i can remember what it was called.
anyway, back on the subject - i dont mind that they put that backing to it, because they're are clubs out there who play cheese...so it dosnt really matter to me weather this was footage taken at hch, magna, tea in the park..glastonbury...whatever lol
