the only reason i dont want hardcore commercialised is because the media in my opinion is pure evil and manages to ruin EVERYTHING they touch.
as far as little teenyboppers doing it. . . if they can figure out that 'plur' isn't the next word like 'phat' and actually give a bit then they're ok in my books. And anyone that cant adopt the raver ethos im sure someone will tell them where they can stick it and they wont have any respect. (PLUR is a get-what-you-give kinda thing IMO ) ....

Geez, that scared me there for a second. O.o;
Speaking of missed shows... I miss Rocko's Modern Life nad Angry Beavers. Yes, I also remember Gumby.... Then there was the cancellation of ZIM... Curses. ¬.¬ I wasn't too fond of Ren and Stimpy, though....
But should hardcore ever become mainstream... pheh, the world is dead. e.e

I agree with ecstatic but the tracks are really kiddy sometimes. Like I wouldn't mind my son listening to it if he feels good about it.

Take for instance Heartbeatz... That is a good song for kids to listen to. But the bass would probably have to be cut. I was going to DJ a birthday party for a kid turning ten and his parents didn't mind the music at all. Never worked out because they listen to Hip Hop, though.

Well if it were to become mainstream it would suck and it probably would become in the U.K. first.
Oh yeah, I've been checking the New People thread regulary and I've been noticing that more and more people that are signing up are from the U.S.A. ...Is that a good or bad thing?
Anyways, I hope Hardcore doesn't sell out. I'd hate for it to become "popular."
For some reason my sister seems to know about all the "underground" bands that no one knows about. And that's almost like how Hardcore is right now. I mean lots of people know about it and absolutely love it, but there are tons more people who know about Rap, Pop and Punk-Rock, etc. Anyways one of her favorite bands sold out and their video was shown on MTV...and now my sister no longer likes them. So like I guess they must have lost some of there tru fans, gained some fans who like them AT THE MOMENT, and earned some money. Basically what I'm saying is, it would suck (lol) and I really hope that it doesn't become sort of music trend; where like people hear JUST 1 Hardcore tune and start saying THEY are the tru H. Hardcore fans and like do stuff they did and still are doing with the "Punk" scene. Seriously. I doubt the "real" punks out there, who were into scene waay before hmmm...the summer of '02 or '03, go out wearing shirts that say "P U N K" in fancy letters or whatever.
Yeah, so it wouldn't be good...lol...

i would say hardcore would never become mainstream in the USA, too many people are afraid of the evil that dosnt have a guitar in it (that includes most other dance too).
if it was going to become mainstraem again anywhere it would be britian, just look at some of the stuff going on...the cd release's..cd singles..nightclubs ...big events. granted its going slow, but its still getting bigger.
personally i dont like it - i dont want to get back to britian to find all the teeny boopers jumping around to the latest breeze and styles mix of "i love horses best of all the animals" or britiny - let them stick to their clubland cds thats what they're they're for - separating the underground from the commercial freeway of doom

No I don't have a son but if I did and he was 10 or something I would let him listen to Hardcore. It is very warm to listen to if you hear it right. But anyways, Im just trying to DJ and Hardcore is becoming popular as hell in Chicago, or so I hear... Sucks that they weren't out there when jazz was the thing.

In Chicago it is becoming the hot shit. I'm not so upset but I respect poeople if they respect the scene. I'm only from 2003 but I know what I'm doing when I DJ. I'm not letting anyone come into this shit without permission.

ummm did...i spark something??...well like i said no worries guys "hardcore" won't become mainstream nor trendy....hardcore/happyhardcore/freeform/trancecore/gabba/speedcore/terrorcore/noize/doom won't lol...too much for THE MAINSTREAM AUDIENCE. it doesn't appeal to maases(thats good) but what makes me ****ing pisst is that most ravers don't even except it...now a days in USA its jungle or house or trance anthems or trance or tribals thats what has made its mark in the states. as far as hardcore no it hasn't. its not bad that the american people have appealed to hardcore nor is it bad that "techno founded in america(detroit) has made ts mark in other places in the world. HARDCORE unites kandy ravers/ravers/and people who just love hardcore to come together to flock to the "the rave sound". hardcoreS are the only people i think i can say are kik ass people who are united by the music and not divided by fashion or some lame ass thing like that.

Well, Hardcore has to stay hard to me but that doesn't mean that its not fit for kids. Candy to me is anything that you can jump to. But I agree that Kandy ravers are the only people in the world who get what raving is about. Im only young but I respect hardcore. Just respect it and let people respect it for what it is. By the way this is Happy Hardcore we are probably talking about for me although I like Oldschool a lot and some gabber. Anyways what ravers can't talk to kids 5 and under for hours on end...
