That Trance version was'nt played at Hardcore Heaven they just shot the footage when they were playing the original hardcore mix then just put the trance mix over it and slowed it down so everyone was'nt dancing to fast for the video. In the video when it does a close up of Styles touching the record you can see it's the original Raver Baby release!
But I don't think they've wrecked the tune just brought it to a different style of music and it's also got the original Hardcore mix on it anyway so if people buy it for the trance mix they might find that they like the Hardcore mix better therefore attracting more people to the scene!!!!
Es , SPEED , TRIPS AND BLOW HERE WE ****ING GO!

Sorry this is the first topic I've read on this since actually hearing the radio version.
Thing is, the commercial version is crap. Absolute crap. And not just cos it's a slow version of a hardcore song, as a tune on it's own it is rubbish. Pretty green eyes, shooting star, even field of dreams, at least they were listenable in their Flip n Fill or whatever incarnations (we'll ignore discoland for the time being).
Disappointing indeed, holly.
On the other hand, maybe that's the point, they want to make the hardcore mix stand out more, by being miles better than the trance mix. Although that being said, I seem to be one of few of people who didn't actually like the original tune that much either(am I allowed to say that??)

I dont mind it
I liked the video clip and the song
I love hardcore remakes of trance "castles, chase and others", so why hate a trance remake of hardcore, esp when made by a hardcore dj
I think all this msg's on forums , will just make ppl wanna hear it more, by mp3/radio or Buying it on CD
we get there hardcore, now we get there cows
Classic moment: wearing Nasenbluten "dog control" top while quality control on Two Dog Beverage

gonna agree here. No one complains when you get trance tracks remixed to HC. I agree im not keen on the trance mix, but im glad its force and styles getting the headlines for the tune not flip & fill. At least people wont say, oh yeah its that flip & fill track (without knowing th original artist).. Its recognition

yeah I see what you're saying and you're exactly right about it getting the proper credit (which I believe is Styles and Breeze ) but as I said I don't think it's crap because it's a remake of hardcore track, I think it really is poor on its own. I honestly don't care about 'selling out' or anything like that, fair play to em for getting some proper money for what they are doing. I just think maybe they're selling themselves a bit short. Styles is capable of making quality trance tunes (my fave being his remix of taiko - silence) so this is a bit of a disappointment.
As for hardcore remixes of trance tracks, I can't remember the last good one I heard. I certainly wasn't a fan of that castles track. Silk Cuts were the only people who could do it properly!!

when i first heared the track shinnin it was in a club an on the bonkers cd... an i though the track was ****in amazin
but i have got to say the new version they brought out is not as gd as the one on the bonkers cd an i think thats ruined the effect.
but, i do think they/we should all try an bring hardcore bk to life in the charts an everywhere else so it wont die, we should only grow bigger!

The trance version is not targeted to hardcore people of course you don't like it, your not ment to like it if you like hardcore music...
The trance version is for trance people to buy, there is also a hardcore track on the CD single to show all the trance people what the real deal is. The release of HeartBeats on AATW (read the news) should make you happy it's got 3 hardcore mixes out of 5 :)

Real trance is shit hot and some of the poppy style stuff is alright but i think your shining got killed a couple year back, i can handle it gettin played once a blue moon at a rave but the last thing i need is to here it everywhere again can feel a smash the stereo moment coming on. But thats just my point of view and i totally understand breeze and styles wanting to make money and dont really care what other people think of hardcore as long as i like it, but do they have to always release versions of songs that have already been played to death for years.
