Contraption used to have loads of tracks on MP3.com when it existed. Last time i checked it was a he and he was from middle of europe (switzerland i think, dont nagg)
And dreaming of another way is actually a remix of the track Choices (I think it was a fusion with another track aswell)

"Dreaming of Another Way" is indeed a re-titling of "Choices", and was remixed w/ the intent of being a CD exclusive track. We were as suprised as anyone when Sy picked a 180bpm piano track to start off "Hardcore Heaven: Reloaded". As it was featured on an album, we figured we may as well do a vinyl pressing as well, altho it will still be featured on a forthcoming unmixed CD.
Promos of RFU003 ( "Let Me Go - Sunrize" / "Love Like This - Sparky" ) and RFULTD01 ( "Dreaming of Another Way ( Oli G remix ) - Contraption" / "Extremely Dangerous - Re-Form" ) will be available to purchase this week with full release following shortly after.
I would guess the next Contraption track you will hear will be a re-working of "Lemonade", perhaps in conjunction w/ another producer, and maybe a new track around the same time.
I shall, of course, keep you all updated w/ any news and audio.

It's perfectly fine to have his older stuff, they were posted for public consumption after all.
Obviously some people will have a .mp3 of "Higher, Forever" from then, I would urge them to purchase either the vinyl ( RFU001 ) or the CD ( RFUCD001 ) in support of the artist, if they like the tune.
Aside from that, the .mp3 was always very painful ( low-bitrate + poor encoding + unmastered + 185bpm = ouch ;) ) to listen to.

I can't say that about Contraption (nor other free artists i've used in my mixes), their pretty good quality, might depend if you're listening with regular stereo speakers or massive sounds system for audio corrections =P

He's from the Netherlands.
I knew him from his MOD tracking days, known back then as Xentar. He was part of a group called Total Eclipse...unfortunately the link I had for them doesn't work.
I started doing a track with him, but then it kinda fell apart since I didn't know Reason too well. :P

Yeah I think it's great RFU signed him up, I recommend picking up the CD. When is the unmixed CD expected to drop?

The quicker we achieve the necessary sales, the quicker RFUCD002 ( "Edge of an Infinate Plane" ) comes out.

The mastering and overall sound quality is much improved on RFU003 + RFULTD01 and will stay that way.
RFUCD001 is great, of course.

Hi.
I was listening to some of my old songs and found a cooperation I made with contraption back on the mp3.com-days in a folder.
The song is called Marty & Contraption - Cuddlesome and it's not really a great track, actaully it's kind of poor, but if you're interested in it I could upload it and post a link.
After that we kind of lost contact so I was searching the net for him now, since my style enveloped towards psytrance from that I haven't hade any reflections what so ever on what happend to happy hardcore, but it's nice to se it's still alive.
