My dad on occasion has taken some of my Dj Dean (Hard Trance) cd's to listen to.
My mother does like it to a certain extent. But as far as hardcore goes...no way i wont even bother playin it in front of them

This is quite funny have to say my mum likes most the happy bouncy stuff even wants tapes off me but cant hack any gabba or bcn style mixes think thats a bit extreme for her taste. I'm jus waiting for someone to post somethin along the lines of my dad hates that happy stuff but give him some industrial speedcore he's all over it would defo make me laugh.

my mum would rather listen to dnb too. i think she said that just so i dont stick on a filthy tune like..."nothing else will stand" she hates that!

My mom loves hardcore. In her words, "How can people not like hardcore? It's so bouncy and uplifting!". She's about as obsessed with Scott Brown as I am. He's playing up in Oakland on September and she's driving me and my best friend!

My parents mostly tolerated it when I was living at home. My brother and I used to have competing stereo systems, and they preferred my hardcore stuff over his hip-hop stuff. I think it also helped that I turned mine down at 9:00 pm so that they could sleep and he needed to be told.

heh my dad likes bouncy techno :D
specially the dutch bouncy stuff .. in fact his favourite tune is Paul Elstak - Code Red,
but my mum likes uplifting trance ..
so works both ways for me considering i play mostly trance and hard trance
they dont mind the volume up loud either which is good but like was said b4 once a gabber kick drops ya get "turn that off its friggin awful"
ah well ya cant win em all eh
oh and ATB is not trance haha

my dad can take it for about 10 minutes, but my mom actually likes my hhc, hixxy, scott brown (bonkers 12) cause she likes the nice melodies and vocals. so she lets me turn it on in the car etc. (u think u get strange looks when ur listening to hhc and ur driving wait till ur with ur mom)

they put up with it........ but that's as far as it goes! i get the usual "it all sounds the same, that beat does my head in" etc. but they know how much i like it so they're cool with it.
as far as going raving with them goes, HELL NO!

Haha my dad & mum think it all sounds the same my dad is prejudiced against any electronic music though.
