lol
spent last wednesday night in hospital after a litre of sangria and numerous other random drinks, thus smashing my head off a wall and knocking myself out. just when we think its all over, a few days later we have a car crash. nothing serious like. still there atm, to be honest i wanna come home. lol. be back on saturday morn to type up a full "report" as it were. see you then

i once downed half a bottle of vokda (straight) the night was really amusing, the day after...wasnt.
you would have thought i had learnt my lesson from that, about a week later i downed an entire bottle of archers...haha, the day after i was sooo ill. blah

gawd and your only 15 and you drank a litre of sangria?! i'm going to be 15 in march and i can not imagine my self drinking and all that. and i think i can say that for all of my friends too. it seems like people from the u.k. start drinking young. is their not a law saying you must be 21+ to drink??

The age limit is 18 in most european countrys. Not all start drinking before that. But many start drinking at the age of 12-16... At least here. I started when i was 13, mainly homemade coz i had no money back then. I got cought to my mom when i was 14. Passed out on the street, police took me to "drunk jail". After few hours, took me home... Never seen my mother so sad and angry...

16 to get married (with parents permission, 18 without unless your in scotland, where it is 16 without parents permission)

can buy contraception at any age

15 to drive a car
soo many double standards in there... why should you be older to buy pornography than to have sex? you can't catch an std/get pregnant through porno last time I checked.
Also they tried to bring in a law recently to allow teenagers under 16 to have sex with each other, as long as the age difference is 2 years or less. That is the most ****ed up reasoning ever... luckily the bill didn't get passed.

any age to get contraception in britain too - and i must say, the porno thing is daft (as its the same in britian), i think that should be 16 too...other than that im quite happy with the laws in britian.
*edit* not that i use porno of course...

..just, seems a bit daft, having the legal age for sex at 16...but porn 18..

Technically yes 18 is leagel for porn but if u go into one of these indian owned shops they'll sell you porn i mean i can buy porn from the one down the road from me but they wont sell me fags or booze WTF!!!!

18 to buy alcohol but it's legal to drink in your own home from the age of 5 (!) I think! You're right though, the uk is a nation of heavy drinkers :P I saw an American stand-up comedian in the UK do his show and one of his jokes was "you mother****ers drink like Americans eat" ;) lol
