All this "Bush Bashing". seems to me that if there is one thing that EVERYONE should respect about bush is that he got rid of Suddam Hussien's son Uday (who happened to control with an iron fist the olympic committee) In previous olympic years Iraq only sent about 4-10 members. Now they have 40-50 competing in Athens this year. Their soccer team beat Portugal yesterday and im very happy for them. They never had this chance under Uday. So good for them and although im from the US i hope Iraq kicks everyone's rear end. :)

Damn, I don't know what's going on anymore! During school I used to read the newspaper every day but now I don't because I'm too lazy to walk down the block and pick up one for like 50 cents or whatever.
[Random: It'd be so cool if there was another blackout!! Cause I mean like this summer isn't so hot compared to last year's, so it'd be okay I guess?
The city should just like turn off all the lights,computers, televisions and stuff like that but leave the air conditioner, refrigerator, etc on. That'd be the best!]

I don't see anything wrong with supporting another country. I think you just wanted an excuse to add your little picture in your post. I dont see how this is "a lame ass thread". Iraq people are very happy about being represented in Athens and the olympians themselves feel honored to be a part of it.
So lets see another funny pic eh? that last one didnt make me laugh too much

umm the US team can't crush the Iraqis in soccer because only the men's team is playing. the US only has the women's team playing.

Heres why there is a happy side to this after-all Whispering:
With a wave of Uday's arm the manacled boxer was led into the room by Iraqi secret service. Sitting behind a dark wood desk beneath an oversized portrait of himself, Uday began his tirade. "In sport you can win or you can lose. I told you not to come home if you didn't win." His voice rising, he walked around the desk and gave the boxer a lesson. "This is how you box," he screamed as he threw a left and a right straight to the fighter's face. Blood dribbled from the athlete's nose as Uday launched another round of punches. Then, using the electric prod he was famous for carrying, Uday jolted the boxer in the chest.
Blood was streaming from a cut above the boxer's eye when Uday ordered his guards to fetch a straight razor. The boxer cried out as Uday held the razor to his throat, and as he moved the blade to the fighter's forehead, Uday laughed. He then shaved the man's eyebrows, an insult to Muslim males. "Take him downstairs and finish the job," Uday screamed.
This is sorta what would happen to any iraqi olympian. This is why iraq had very few athletes. They were scared for their lives to participate. All im sayin is now they get to participate without fear of being tortured by Uday
